Clean & Simple Stamping Fun!

Happy Friday!
C'mon...I know you're doin' the happy dance (or at least want to)
because the weekend is almost here!
Glad you were able to squeeze in some time to come visit with me!

Now, I have a confession to make!
Those of you who have been followers here for awhile may already know this about me...
Ready?

I am not a clean and simple kinda card making girl!
LOL
There, I've admitted it!

However, that being said, I could not resist trying another CAS card when I saw the cute "Into the Woods" stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn at Scrapbooks by Designs!

Into the Woods Into the Woods Dies

I decided that I wanted to just do a simple fall scene with cute little fox
in the center of the card.
I began by inking and stamping the fox image in black and setting it aside to be colored and die cut later on when dry.
While waiting for the animal image to dry, I inked up the tree stump stamp and stamped it onto my white 4.25"x5.5" pre made card base, basically in the centre.  I then chose the sentiment I wished to use, stamped it directly under the tree stump keeping in mind to position it so the fox would still have room to be applied to the card and things would still look centered.
I then chose several colors of autumn colored inks and stamped a few different colored leaves falling around the scene.
Going back to the fox image which is now dry, I chose to color him with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
Did you know you can find those at Scrapbooks by Designs as well?
They are a great marker to work with and I love mine!
I then die cut the image with the matching die and my BigShot machine and popped him up off the page with 3D pop up squares just in front of the tree stump.

Are you ready by now to see how this little creation turned out?

I'll keep you in suspense no longer!  LOL

This adorable set has so many different options!
I chose to create an autumn themed card because the leaves are turning colors in our area already and I am always in awe of the beauty!  And, I do love fall!
However, just think...you could create a "Get Well Soon" card with the fawn and the "Oh Deer" sentiment...a "Hello/Thinking of You" card with the adorable racoon and the "hello" sentiment...an "Any Occasion" card with the fun little acorn and the "smile" sentiment.  Mix and match anyway you want and come up with an adorable set of cards!

I hope you feel I've pulled off this CAS creation and have been inspired to create one of your own.
Don't forget to check out the Scrapbooks by Design store for any additional supplies you may be needing!

Manger Scene

WooHoo!  It's Friday!
So glad you're here today!

You know what Friday means...a new challenge with us at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!
You'll love this weeks challenge...

"To Die For"

Us card makers love our dies, don't we?
I'm guessing this week is going to bring many entries!

I'm so very excited about the card I've created for this particular challenge.
Allow me to begin this post with a picture of it, and we'll get down to the other details such as sponsorship, prizes, etc in just a minute!

Ready????

Can you guess the company whose paper pack I've designed this one with?
It's Heartfelt Creations!  I love, love, love their paper and coordinating dies!

I chose this gorgeous manger scene card panel to begin the card with.  I love manger scene cards, because to me they bring the focus to what the Christmas holiday is all about!  I've chosen coordinating patterned papers to do all of the matting with, as well as a sentiment from the paper pack as well.  I've used the "Majestic Blooms" die from Heartfelt Creations to create the large flower with the pearl centre.  I've also used some blue distress paint and some Glitter Ritz on the edges to tie it into the color palette.  The gold poinsettias are several Memory Box dies that I just adore!  The swirl die cuts are created with my BigShot as well and are from Sizzix.  Lastly, if you peek super closely, you will also see a Spellbinders fancy edged square die cut behind the sentiment!
I don't need to convince you that I love die cutting...do I!  LOL

Now here's the sponsorship info I promised you earlier.
We do not have a sponsor for this weeks challenge...however, one lucky winner will be invited to Guest Design with us in October!
Super exciting!

Now it's your turn!  Break out that collection of dies that I know you have stashed in your craft room, choose a Christmas themed one to work with, and get creating!  Then link up with us at CSAYL!  While you're there, be sure to check out some of the other DT's creations!  You won't be disappointed!
I can't wait to visit your blogs to see what you come up with!

A Special Card for a Special Mom

Welcome!
I'm here to share with you today a new challenge over at Unstampabelles.
It's a simple challenge with a simple twist...

"Paper Based Creation for Someone Special...
with the twist of blogging about why
they are special to you..."

This month we are happy to be sponsored by our very own Beth...

sideblinkie_zps1af935d9

...who will be awarding one lucky winner a Stamp'n Up prize!
How fabulous is that!

I knew right away that I wanted to create a Mother's Day Card for my very special mom!
My mom is also one of my very best friends.  She has always been there for me and always backs me up no matter what the situation.  She is an awesome Nana to my children and dotes on them like any Grandmother should!  My mom laughs with me, cries with me and is always there for advice.  She has always been my biggest cheerleader!
My mom is one of the very few people that I have always been able to count on in life.
I have been extremely blessed to have been given the mom I have.

So, here's the special Mother's Day Card that I created for her...

I've used an SVG Cuts cutting file, a Heartfelt Creations floral die, and a Memory Box swirl die.  I love the different tiers to this card.

So, think of someone special in your life...male or female, and get creating a special something for them.  Then, don't forget to blog about why they're special to you so that we can read all about it when you link up with us at Unstampabelles.
A few quick points to keep in mind...your creation must be paper based, you are not allowed to use stamps of any sort (rubber or digi) on your creation.  Don't worry, it's easier than it sounds.

Oh, and one final thought...
"Hey mom, I know you've read this and the card won't be a surpise!  LOL
Happy Mother's Day"
