Introducing the NEW Fluted Classics from Amazing Paper Grace...

Within the various collection introductions, Amazing Paper Grace has included sets that were inspired by classic sewing motifs. The Fluted Classics Collection is another wonderful layering shape set with ticking designs reminiscent of the blanket stitch on its edges! Nest the outer and inner rims with the insert to cut a tailored frame or for a beautiful background edge to any layering design. Keep it simple and you can cut a solid shape with just an outer rim. The Fluted Classics come in circle, square, oval, and rectangle shapes. We’ve also added a slimline version for those card makers who want to create an elegant and trendy silhouette.

Today's projects were created with dies provided by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace.

My Projects for Today

Today I'm sharing two projects I created with the Fluted Classic Ovals S5-474! Don't you just love nesting shapes? They allow you to create such gorgeous projects quickly and easily...and what can be more elegant than nesting ovals! They are truly one of my faves! They are perfect for mixing and matching, creating frames, and of course using for your sentiments!

I wanted to create a card and coordinating tag that would be perfect for gifting to friends or loved ones...I thought the tag would be perfect for attaching to a platter of holiday baking...and then of course a coordinating card takes totally takes it up a notch!

For the 5"x7" card, I've gone ahead and layered several of the different oval sizes onto a background I've created with some fabulous Graphic 45 patterned paper, as well as the decorative portion of the Mosaic Bracket Card Builder - die cut from gold card stock! It provided a gorgeous shimmer and shine to set off those fluted die cuts!

Here's a close up of the gorgeous stitching on the fluted ovals...isn't it stunning! It adds such elegance to the oval shape! You'll see in this close up that I've gone ahead an matted with some gold ovals as well. A little more about those coming up in the Designer Tip section!

You'll see that I've mimicked the same style of design here on the tag...I've just switched up my papers ever so slightly from the same Graphic 45 Collection! The finishing touch to both projects is of course those gorgeous Cinch and Go Poinsettias! They've been die cut and then inked with some Ranger Archival Ink - Red Geranium and Leaf Green. I've given them some quick shaping with a flower shaping stylus tool and have then added prill centers to give them some texture and interest!

Designers Tip: When working with the Fluted Classic Ovals, I loved adding a solid gold oval behind my fluted pieces or decorative paper. If you look closely, you'll see that I've slightly offset them because they are the same size as the piece in front of them...so only the gold peeks through on one side of the decorative ovals. I've gone ahead and alternated the sides that I've added the solid gold ovals so that it visually gives you some extra interest, but isn't super busy or overwhelming!

Which Fluted Classics set would you use first?

Lastly, I do have some sad news to share today as well. Due to health issues, this will be my last project with Amazing Paper Grace for now! Once things become more stable, I hope to be back at some point! Thanks for understanding!

Holiday Creating with the NEW Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree Die of the Month from Amazing Paper Grace...

What a magical sight to see a beautifully decorated Christmas tree with gifts piled high around its trunk! The Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree includes a set of graduated trees for a full dimensional design, along with details of presents, bows, and ornaments to complete this set. Change up the colors for an elegant or casual look. Best of all, it folds for easy mailing. Use just the elements to work with a flat card format from A2 to A7. Detailed die cuts make it easy to personalize for the holidays. The choice is yours!

Dies for my creations today were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 21 dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree.

My Project Today using Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree.

Can you believe that this is the first time I've worked with one of the 3D vignette designs by Becca Feeken?!?! I'd been a long time admirer of them, but had just never gotten around choosing a favorite, purchasing it and creating with it! I was super impressed with how easily this whole design came together!

I created the 3D Vignette Christmas Tree card as it was intended to be put together...but I also created a quick and easy card to show you that these elements work beautifully for traditional card making as well!

Let's start with the original version...

I decided to go with a shabby chic/Victorian kind of theme and opted to use a teal patterned paper for my main tree base...and accent it with a lighter printed patterned paper as the tree front. I've used silver foil for all of my accents...and I love the monochromatic look of the ornaments and how they match the outline of the tree!

I opted to use cream card stock to give the entire project a softer and more antiqued look to go along with the Victorian style. The base was super easy to build and holds the tree pieces in place very well! I chose to die cut the sentiment using card card stock as well, and back it with silver to match the color on the tree.

The dimension in this design is absolutely amazing! In the photo above you can see how all the layers come together...and I love how this super dimensional card folds flat so you can still mail it!

Moving along, let's talk about the second card creation I made with this wonderful set of dies!

For my second creation I wanted to do something super simple! I chose a 6x6 card...I love how the layered tree works really well for a card front! It's a great size that you can customize for your smaller cards to all of your larger sizes!

I wanted a pretty lace like die cut to coordinate with the lace on the card panel I chose to use! The delicate die cut from the Celebrate Scrollwork Card Builder from the Holiday Medley Collection was perfect!

I wanted to do something a little different with the sentiment...so I chose to cut it into pieces and use all of the words included in the set! I thought it turned out pretty cute...especially with the cream colored buttons I added as a vintage style embellishment!

I also love that I was able to keep the tree dimensional even though I was adding it to a card front! Just think...you could use the tree in a single layer, a double layer, create a forest...the possibilities are almost endless!!!

Designer Tip:  Let's talk about those adorable gifts under the tree! They work beautifully when die cut in sold colors, but I wanted to give them the appearance of actually being giftwrapped...so I die cut them from some patterned papers within the collection I was using so that they would coordinate with the tree! I thought they turned out super cute!

Variations on the Sweet Peony from Heartfelt Creations....

Hello and Welcome!
I'm so glad you've popped in for a visit!
I recently shared several cards on a Facebook LIVE I created using the Sweet Peony Collection from Heartfelt Creations!
I used the new Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, and you can't imagine how beautifully it works to create your florals....whether hand shaped or used in conjunction with the 3D Shaping Molds!

...here's a sneak peek of the peonies we created...

Can you believe these two flowers have been created using the same stamp and die combination from the Sweet Peony Collection! They just take on different characteristics with some minor changes in how they are shaped and layered!

....here's the two card samples I put together during the Facebook Live on the main Heartfelt Creations Facebook Page...

These cards come together so quickly when you have your flowers made!
A pretty card panel, a stamped sentiment and some gorgeous die cut embellishments and you're card comes together quickly and easily!

Again, thanks so much for popping by today!
I hope you've enjoyed today's share...and if you missed the Facebook LIVE, you can always watch the replay here!

Until next time...

Have a Purr-fectly Beautiful Day...

Hello and Welcome!
I thought I'd do a quick post of a Facebook Live project I created featuring the Purr-fect Posies Collection!

Have you seen this adorable feline themed collection?
It is just so sweet!
The colors are so softly hued, and those charming kittens will just win over your heart! And, those whimsical posies are just so pretty and delicate!
It's another great collection for any type of occasion!

...here's the project I created on my Facebook LIVE on the Heartfelt Creations main page...

I opted to create just a little scene with this charming little kitten!
I thought she would be so cute sitting in a patch of grass surrounded by pretty posies!
She has been stamped onto smooth white water color card stock and then colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

I've die cut an oval window into the center of the card and have used the corner accents from the Regal Pocket Accents Die. Pretty, delicate pocket dies also make wonderful embellishment pieces on your cards and are so very versatile...they don't just need to be used as pockets!

I've stamped the posies in several colors and have then colored them with a lighter version of the same color family. The foliage have been done this way as well. I've then die cut them using the coordinating die and have then shaped them using the 3D Purr-fect Posies Shaping Mold.

I chose a sentiment from the paper collection and cut ribbon ends into each end of the sentiment. I've then traced the background pattern using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and a fine metal tip and then applied Baby's Breath Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. This gives the card a beautiful sparkle and a bit more interest for the lucky recipient to take in.

This fairly straight forward card doesn't take much time to create and you could recreate this one on the spur of the moment when needing a quick creation to make someone's day!

I hope you've enjoyed today's share!
You can find the full Facebook LIVE here...so you can follow along at your own pace and see how it all came together!

Until next time...

Quilted Patchwork Daisy Greeting Card...

Welcome!
I'm so glad you've stopped by today!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and today I have a project to share with you that I created with the Patchwork Daisy Collection!

Did you know that the Patchwork Daisy Collection and previously released Buttons and Blooms Collection pair together perfectly! They both have those charming patterned daisies which are just adorable!

I opted to use the new border dies within the Patchwork Daisy Collection. I chose to snip it apart to use it as a free standing embellishment. As I was working with the dies, I decided that it might be fun to create a background with them...and throw in the lace like accent from the Sweetheart Borders Die.

...here's how that background came together...

I chose to use the outer frame portion from the Intricate Swirl Frames Die to frame up the background. I popped the frame up off of the card front with some foam tape. I then die cut the sentiment banner from the Arrows and Banner Die, stamped the sentiment and then inked the edges of the banner with Ranger Archival Ink Pad - Deep Purple. I adhered the sentiment strip to the card base using dimensional foam tape.

I stamped all of the floral images onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink - Deep Purple. Using my Stack and Store Daubers, I colored all of the images as seen above. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies, and then did a little bit of shaping with my Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. I assembled the floral cluster as shown. (For more detailed instructions, please see end of blog post.)

...here's a closer peek at the papers I've used to create this project, as well as the pretty patterned flowers...

As my last and final step I used a designer dries clear adhesive to apply glitter to all of the leaves, flower petals and daisy flourishes!

I was pleased with how this card turned out...and I hope that you have been inspired to create your own backgrounds using decorative papers.

Be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations blog to take in the rest of the creative projects the design team have designed for your inspiration!

Until next time...
Project Supplies and Instructions

Other Products Used: white card stock, paper trimmer, white gel pen, assorted buttons, scissors, foam tape

For more tips on creating with the Patchwork Daisy collection, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/v5BEpcSlmoI.

Create a card base from white card stock measuring 5” x 7”. Next select the patterned papers you wish to use in your background. Die cut a curved eyelet edge onto one larger piece of paper using the Eyelet Border Basics Die. Next, measure out the approximate sizes you will need for the other two layering pieces, both will remain having straight edges.

Die cut an eyelet trim border piece from white card stock that coordinates with curve of the piece of patterned paper. Adhere it to the back of the patterned piece as a second eyelet layer using dries clear adhesive as shown.

Die cut the lace like accent piece from the Sweetheart Borders Die from white cardstock. Trim down to the size you wish to use as accent on background. Adhere to back of layering piece using a dries clear adhesive as shown.

Adhere your layering pieces to the card base as shown, beginning with the center most section so the other die cut accents overlap.

From white card stock, die cut the large frame from the Intricate Swirls Frame Die, and one banner from the Arrows and Banner Die. Using Ranger Archival Ink Pad – Jet Black, stamp sentiment found in the Cheerful Note Sentiments Cling Stamp Set. Using Stack and Store Dauber, ink all edges of banner using Ranger Archival Ink Pad – Deep Purple.

Using a dimensional foam or pop dots, adhere frame and sentiment banner to card front as shown.

Stamp one inking of each of the illustrations found in the Patchwork Daisy Border Cling Stamp Set, onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Deep Purple. Color leaves on all stamped images using Stack and Store Daubers and Ranger Archival Ink – Leaf Green. Color daisies on large border die cut using Stack and Store Daubers and Ranger Archival Ink – Forget-Me-Not. Color smaller daisy flourish flowers using Ranger Archival Ink – Deep Purple. Die cut all images using coordinating dies. For large daisy border embellishment, using a scissor, snip entire border free so you have a free standing embellishment. Shape all embellishments slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Stamp one inking of the mid sized and smaller daisies found in the Buttons and Blooms Cling Stamp Set, onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Deep Purple. Color two smaller blossoms using Ranger Archival Ink – Buttercup, and one mid sized flower using Ranger Archival Ink – Cactus Flower. Die cut using coordinating dies, and shape slightly in the center using your Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Adhere smaller daisy flourish to top of card front, and larger flourish to bottom. Adhere daisy border die overtop as shown. Layer small yellow daisy flowers over daisy images on top and bottom of border, and the larger pink flower in center.

Using a dries clear glue, apply glitter to all leaves and petals. Lastly, using a white gel pen, add stitching to straight background panel as shown.
