Diamond Die Release....

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and this week we have a special release for you...it's the new Diamond Dies!

I know you've seen the sneak peeks...everyone's been waiting...and believe me when I tell you that these beauties have been worth the wait!

...here's a peek at how my project turned out...

Can you tell by my color scheme that I've been dreaming of spring?
I decided that it would be fun to create a wildflower inspired card with these new shaped dies...so out came the Backyard Blossoms Collection

I opted to layer several of the new diamond dies together. The yellow die cut mat in the background has been created using the lovely Diamonds and Lace Die and on top of that I have layered the Lacy Diamond Die...which I have inked all of the edges using a Ranger Archival Ink - Sunflower, however before layering the two, I stamped the sentiment into the center of the diamond shape using Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black. I added a touch of Crystal Clear Glitter to the inner portion of the Lacy Diamond die cut and then popped it up off of the card base.

I've then die cut from white card stock, one of the smaller eyelet diamond shapes from the Eyelet Diamond Die and stamped a partial sentiment onto in using Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black. Using a piece of hydra sponge and a dries clear glue, I dabbed a bit of glue onto the sides of the diamond shape and sprinkled it with Crystal Clear Glitter.

...here's a closer peek...

I've stamped the corner cone flower image onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black, and then colored it up to be quite a bright floral. I've used Ranger Archival Ink - Sunflower and Majestic Violet.  I've applied the color using Stack and Store Daubers, and could really blend the two colors together where they met on the petals to create almost like an ombre effect.
For the foliage I used Ranger Archival Ink - Fern Green.

I've stamped several of the accent fillers from the Backyard Blossoms Collection to create my wildflower look. I've colored them up used Ranger Archival Ink - Forget Me Not, Magenta Hue and Fern Green.

A bit of shaping using my Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and I was ready to assemble my floral cluster. As a finishing touch, I glittered all of the florals using a dries clear adhesive and Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter.

The diamond dies work so perfectly together of as a single die cut!
I know you will love having them in your collection!

Be sure to stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog so you can take in the other projects using these wonderful dies...the design team have created them just for your creative inspiration!

Until next time...

Valentine's Day Wishes...

Hello, Hello, Hello!
I'm so happy to have you stop by here today...it seems like it's been awhile that we've spent time together here!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and this week I have a quick and simple share with you featuring the Tulip Time Collection!

I thought since Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, I would try to encourage you to get started on your Valentine's Day creations! The color palette of the Tulip Time Collection is perfect for Valentine's Day!

For a twist, I decided I was going to try to add in some unique color combinations that normally I would not pair together...in case you haven't noticed, my creations always seem to be kind of matchy matchy! LOL

...here's how this labor of love turned out...

...I kind of like the different colors I've used here...the oranges, purples, pinks and of course a reddish hue as well....

I've always loved the love and chocolate sentiment from the Heartfelt Love Collection and decided it would be awesome paired with the Valentine's Day sentiment from the same cling stamp set. The Heartfelt Love Collection also has the wonderful nesting eyelet hearts that made creating this card super easy!

This 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card really didn't take me that long to make as I had many of the flowers already stamped and die cut, so I just needed to do some quick shaping. The peony leaves were the same story...stamped, colored and die cut just hanging out in my flower storage waiting to be used at some point.

The gorgeous tulip images have been hand colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Makers and can you believe that those little reddish hued flowers are actually the smallest tulip petals from the Tulip Time Cling Stamp Set...they've been just lightly shaped with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit! The itty bitty florals are the Petite Florals from the Floral Fashionista Collection...and are the perfect size to accent any project!

A sprinkling of glitter, some prill centers, and a bit of heat embossing and the whole card has some interest and texture!

I hope you've enjoyed my share today...and I hope you've been encouraged to to get a jump on your Valentine's Day creating!

Create a 4.25” x 5.5” card base from white card stock. Choose a patterned background paper from the Tulip Time Paper Collection for card base mat. Using the coordinating mat die from the Eyelet Rectangles and Basics die and your manual die cutting machine, cut your background mat from the decorative paper.

Using a piece of hydra sponge and ColorBox Pigment Ink – Frost White, dab ink onto several areas along each side of the decorative paper mat. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and set using heat tool.

Using one of the larger heart dies from the Eyelet Hearts Die, cut a heart into the far side of the decorative paper as shown, creating a heart shaped window in which to stamp sentiment. Next, using the same heart die cut, locate the slightly larger eyelet heart die version that coordinates and nest the two together using a low tack tape. Then die cut from white card stock to create an eyelet shaped heart frame. Ink heart frame using Ranger Archival Ink – Magenta Hue. Using a piece of hydra sponge, apply a thin layer of Designer Dries Clear Adhesive to the heart shaped frame and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear.

Cut a smaller heart die cut from the Eyelet Hearts Die from white card stock. Ink edges using Ranger Archival Ink – Magenta Hue. Stamp Valentine’s Day sentiment onto heart using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Stamp second sentiment into heart shaped window using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Adhere glittered heart frame to large die cut heart shaped window.

Stamp one inking of the large tulip blossoms, and two of the tulip filled bucket found in the Tulip Bouquet Die onto smooth watercolor paper using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Color using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Using the coordinating dies, die cut all embellishments. Die cut the smaller tulip blossoms from the bouquet in the tulip bucket using the coordinating die. Using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, shape small tulips slightly. From the second bucket image, using scissors cut off the bucket portion of the image as you will just use the tulip bouquet from the illustration. Using a dries clear glue, layer the shaped tulips onto the bouquet you’ve trimmed off of the bucket image.

Stamp two inkings of the small tulip blossom petals from the Tulip Time Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink - Plum. Die cut using coordinating die. Using Stack and Store Daubers, ink petals using Ranger Archival Ink – Magenta Hue, and then add Ranger Archival Ink – Vermillion overtop. Shape ever so slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Adhere two petal pieces together to create flower – you will need two.

Stamp one inking of petite florals from the Floral Fashionista Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock first using Ranger Archival Ink – Magenta Hue, and then another stamping in Ranger Archival Ink – Majestic Violet. Ink each of the petals in the corresponding colors they have been stamped in. Die cut using coordinating dies, and then shape using 3D Petite Florals Shaping Mold.

Stamp several leaves from the Small and Large Sweet Peony Cling Stamp Sets onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Fern Green. Color using Stack and Store Daubers using Ranger Achival Ink – Leaf Green. Die cut using coordinating dies, and shape slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Position and adhere the larger tulip flowers beside the large heart die cut window as a background accent for behind smaller heart die cut. Next, position and adhere a portion of the smaller tulip bouquet to the backside of the smaller heart die cut so the bouquet flows from the bottom of the heart shape. Using pop dots, adhere small heart to card base as shown. Add tulip flowers and petite florals as shown. Add in peony leaves as fillers where desired.

Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and metal tip, apply prills to flower centers and Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to all flowers and die cut embellishments.
