...and here's my first project with this stunning collection...

I just thought this would be perfect for a pretty, feminine Mother's Day card.
I know Mother's Day only happens here in May in Canada...but one can never get inspiration too early, right?

I stamped the corset image onto smooth mixed media paper as I was wanting to do some coloring with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. They work beautifully for giving an image that water colored look! I've been practicing...and while it's not perfect, I'm happy with how this image turned out!

Now, I have to say, that the petite floral blossoms in this collection are absolutely darling!
They are just the most adorable size...and are so very easy to shape with the coordinating shaping mold! Whether you create double blossoms in different sizes, or opt to leave them as single accents blooms...they are just plain perfect!

...and here's a close up of those fantastic Petite Florals...

Of course, the glitter and Nuvo Drops were the icing on the cake!
You can't have a card without glitter, can you?
It just totally adds to the elegance!

I do hope you've enjoyed what I've shared with you today!

Create a 6” x 6” card base from white card stock. Locate premade card panel background shown on card and trim out from Floral Fashionista Paper Collection, trimming just slightly smaller than card base. Using the second largest oval die within the Eyelet Oval & Basics Die, die cut an oval window into the premade card panel as shown. Adhere another patterned paper of your choice behind the oval window. Adhere card front to card base.

Using VersaFine Black Ink, stamp sentiment onto card front as shown.

Die cut one large ornate pocket die cut from within the Elegant Pocket Accents Die using your die cutting machine and white card stock. Using a dries clear glue and hydra sponge, add adhesive to die cut and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear. Set aside to dry.
Next, pair the eyelet oval and previously used oval die from within the Eyelet Oval and Basics Die to create a frame from a piece of light purple patterned paper found within the Floral Fashionista Paper Collection..

Adhere elegant pocket accent die cut to side of card front, and eyelet oval die cut overtop as shown.

Using a black ink and smooth white mixed media paper, stamp one inking of the laced corset image. Color using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers – Violet and Almond Pink, then water color using water brush. Die cut using coordinating die.

Stamp one inking of each of the petite florals petal sizes onto white card stock in both Ranger Archival Ink – Magenta Hue and Majestic Violet. Die cut using coordinating dies, color flower tips with same colors they have been stamped in, and shape using 3D Petite Florals shaping mold and Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Assemble two double blossoms in purple, and two ink pink. Remaining florals can remain as single blossoms.

Stamp one inking of each of the floral swirls found in the Lush Lilac and Sweet Lilac Scroll & Notes Cling Stamp Sets onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Olive. Die cut using coordinating dies and color using Ranger Archival Ink – Majestic Violet and Leaf Green. Shape slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Happy Mother's Day...

It's a very special day today that we are celebrating in Canada and the United States!
It's Mother's Day!

I am lucky enough to still have my mom around and I get to see her on a very regular basis!
She's always ready to lend me a hand with the kids when my schedule is hectic and my hubby is not around.  She always makes supper for me and the kids on Wednesdays because we have piano lessons right after school and then have to wait in town for our youngest's Taekwando night.  I really wouldn't be able to get everything done at times if it wasn't for my mom!
She's a huge support, an encourager and is always willing to lend a hand!

So, I decided to design a one of a kind card just for her!
I wasn't sure which Heartfelt Creations collection I was going to use at first until I started browsing supplies in my craft room.  I came across the Enchanted Mum collection and thought it was perfect!
I also decided that I wanted to use a flip fold album insert as a card base for this special creation.  I opted to go with a craft colored insert!  To give the card a feminine touch, I decided to die cut into the base as well as to add a decorative die cut to the top.

Here's how the creation came out...

I love how soft and feminine it turned out!

Here's a closer look at the sentiment portion I trimmed off of one the pages in the Enchanted Mum Collection...

...and here's a closer look at the top floral cluster...

Well, that's my quick share for today!
I hope you've enjoyed almost as much as my mom enjoyed receiving her card!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Until next time...

A Special Card for a Special Mom

Welcome!
I'm here to share with you today a new challenge over at Unstampabelles.
It's a simple challenge with a simple twist...

"Paper Based Creation for Someone Special...
with the twist of blogging about why
they are special to you..."

This month we are happy to be sponsored by our very own Beth...

sideblinkie_zps1af935d9

...who will be awarding one lucky winner a Stamp'n Up prize!
How fabulous is that!

I knew right away that I wanted to create a Mother's Day Card for my very special mom!
My mom is also one of my very best friends.  She has always been there for me and always backs me up no matter what the situation.  She is an awesome Nana to my children and dotes on them like any Grandmother should!  My mom laughs with me, cries with me and is always there for advice.  She has always been my biggest cheerleader!
My mom is one of the very few people that I have always been able to count on in life.
I have been extremely blessed to have been given the mom I have.

So, here's the special Mother's Day Card that I created for her...

I've used an SVG Cuts cutting file, a Heartfelt Creations floral die, and a Memory Box swirl die.  I love the different tiers to this card.

So, think of someone special in your life...male or female, and get creating a special something for them.  Then, don't forget to blog about why they're special to you so that we can read all about it when you link up with us at Unstampabelles.
A few quick points to keep in mind...your creation must be paper based, you are not allowed to use stamps of any sort (rubber or digi) on your creation.  Don't worry, it's easier than it sounds.

Oh, and one final thought...
"Hey mom, I know you've read this and the card won't be a surpise!  LOL
Happy Mother's Day"
