Wedding Bells Bridal Card...

Hello!
My goodness, it certainly feels like I have not had anything to share here in awhile!
It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and last week the Classic Wedding Collection was released!  It is such a beautiful and romantic collection with such soft colors!
Here's a little about the collection...

Church bells ring out and there’s an excitement in the air!  Loved ones have gathered together to celebrate two hearts joined in friendship being united in love!  Beautiful roses provide a classic and romantic décor while soft music lends to the ambiance as the bride and groom beam seeing one another for the first time on their wedding day!  Preserve those special “Happily Ever After” memories with the new Classic Wedding Collection by Heartfelt Creations.  Filled with romantic imagery of stately church bells, classic roses and fanciful doves, this softly hued paper collection is sure to add to the nostalgia and romance of these precious moments while showcasing memories of such a special day.  Soft peaches, pinks, greens and blue tones lend a timeless and elegant backdrop to graceful swirls, lace like elements and romantic script!  Commemorate the special occasion with dreamily illustrated cling stamp sets depicting glorious heart shaped rose wreaths, elegant church bells, beautiful wedding rings and a delicate image of a bride and groom, complete with coordinating dies perfect for embellishing bridal shower, wedding or anniversary creations!  Five marvelous sentiments are included to ensure you have the perfect well wishes to complete your bridal or anniversary card or scrapbook layout!  Add a touch of splendor and sophistication with either of the two intricate and impressive lace like dies included in this sentimental collection!  So, please rise…and join with us in celebrating those special moments that represent “Always and Forever”!

For my project this week I decided to create a special card front using one of the dies found in the Decorative Medallion Die set.  I knew I wanted to use the gorgeous wedding bells illustration and found a premade card panel in the Classic Wedding Paper Collection that would work with what I had in mind perfectly!

Here's how it all came together...

Now, my daughter and I had a good chuckle about this card...and we'll get to that in just a moment!
But first, I want to show you what the card looks like when it's open!

Doesn't that gorgeous preprinted 6"x6" card panel just bring everything together when you open it and see the full wedding bell and rose illustration?

Now...onto the humorous side of this card!
When Emma Lou previewed the Classic Wedding Collection video and how to make a fancy fold card using these exact die cuts, my daughter and I chuckled because the base was pretty much the exact same base I had just created several days before.  I can't tell you how happy I was though when I saw that Emma Lou hadn't used the bride and groom or the wedding bells!  LOL

I've used the Classic Rose stamp and die combination to create my flowers.  I've added the frosting powder and heat set it using my heat tool.  All of the coloring has been done with Spectrum Noir Blendable pencils and gamasol solution.  I wanted the card to be super soft and romantic.
Just as Emma Lou did on her card, I've sponged glitter all over the die cuts on the card base, as well as the preprinted images on the inside of the card and them sprinkled it all with a transparent glitter.  If you look super closely at the first picture, you'll see that find shimmer...it just doesn't show up on the photos very well.

This wedding collection is so soft and beautiful and perfect for creating all those wedding cards, presentation envelopes, gift bags, etc. that you need during the summer wedding season!
Be sure to stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog to catch up on all of the other gorgeous projects the rest of the design team have created using this alluring collection!

Until next time...

Gate Themed Christmas Card...

Notice: It has come to my attention that Blogger has been having some technical difficulties and it would seem that my blog has been affected by one of the glitches involving comments.  In the recent fix, comments are now able to be left by a viewer if you open the blog post you are reading...from there a comment box will open at the very end of that particular blog page.  So sorry for the confusion!  Hopefully Blogger will have this sorted out quickly and normal operations will resume.  Thanks for understanding!

Happy Wednesday!
Hello and Welcome!  I'm so glad you're here!

We're still celebrating the holiday season over at Heartfelt Creations, and this week I wanted to share with you a card I created using one of the flip fold inserts from the Flip Fold Album Collection!
The inserts make for such wonderful interactive cards, and are really quite quick and easy to embellish.

I've used the square flip fold insert from the Pocket and Flip Fold Inserts B - in black...
Pocket and Flipfold Inserts B - Black
...that's the first one on the left in this photo.
I've kept the first small fold to hold the main stamped images on my card, I have not folded the middle section...I have left it as a large square which will form the center of my card, with the last top square folding in over the center to create the front of the card along with the small fold.  (Don't worry, it will all make sense when we have a peek at the project!)

So, I decided I wanted to create a scene with the large gate stamp in the Celebrate the Season Collection as my main focal point on this card.

Here's how it turned out...

I've covered the small flip fold piece to the opening of the card using decorative elements from the paper collection.  I've stamped the gate and adhered part of it to the small flip fold so that it will open along with the small flip fold.  I've shaped the gate slightly so it has a curved bend...but you can leave it straight as well.  I've cut the sleigh scene from one of the layout pages from in the collection and placed it behind the gate.

Here's a closer look...

I thought it was such a festive scene to open the gate and find the sleigh all decorated and ready to be filled with gifts!  As you can see I've added some sparkle to the snow beneath the sleigh as well as the poinsettias it has been decorated with.  I've also added a touch of glitter to the poinsettias on the fence as well as the gifts waiting at the gate!

And, then of course there is the inside of the card to complete...

These interactive type of cards are just so amazing to give and to receive, aren't they!
To finish off the inside of this one, I've trimmed down one of the premade card panels in the paper collection and added it in as the focal point for your handwritten greeting to appear!
Should you be gifting a gift card, I think it would be a wonderful idea to include it on the larger panel on the card with an envelope created from the coordinating paper collection!

Well, I hope you've enjoyed today's little bit of holiday inspiration!
There is a whole assembling of Christmas inspirations waiting for you on the Heartfelt Creations blog again this week!  Be sure to stop by and take in all of the beautiful creations!

Until next time...

Locate light blue snowflake patterned paper within paper collection.  Trim out pieces for small outside fold, along with pieces needed for the inside of the card (back of small fold, center panel as well as side panel). Trim slightly smaller than the original measurements if you desire the black frame around each part of the card.  Now locate the 12"x12" layout page that has the large sleigh image on the bottom.  Cut out the sleigh in a square measuring 6"x6".  This will be the image that will appear on the card behind your stamped fence image.  Using a sponge dauber, ink all edges of all the pieces you've cut using a teal colored ink.  Adhere pieces where they belong on the card.  Now locate the strip with the purple poinsettias and trim to fit along front of small flip fold, ink all edges with teal ink and adhere as shown.  Cut out a backing for the back of the card using black card stock to cover up scor line if you desire. Using the preprinted tag from within the paper collection, fussy cut skates and poinsettia image to use in the upper corner on the small flip fold.  Ink all edges with a teal colored ink and adhere as shown.  Stamp gate cling stamp using grey ink and a heavier white card stock.  Cut using coordinating die and ink edges using a teal ink.  Adhere to card as shown.  Stamp present cling stamps onto white card stock - one in purple, one in plum and one in teal.  Add a touch of color using dove blending kit, and cut using coordinating dies.  Stamp one image of the mittens in teal ink, die cut and apply teal coloring using sponge dauber.  Using a dark green ink, stamp one inking of the vine along with the decorative wreath onto white card stock.  Die cut, add a touch of light green color to leaves and some plum color to berries.  Shape wreath, vine and presents slightly.  Adhere to card as shown.  Next, stamp both sizes of poinsettias onto white card stock three times using a dark purple ink, and the holly three times as well in a dark green ink. Sponge poinsettia petals with a plum ink and then sponge dark purple around the edges of all petals.  Sponge insides of the holly leaves with light green ink and sponge edges with a dark green ink.  Shape poinsettias and leaves, assemble a double bloom backed with holly leaves. Adhere to card as shown.  Locate one of the 6"x6" card panels in the paper collection that showcases the sleigh, trim to fit inside center of card and ink all edges with a teal color. Adhere to inside of card. Working carefully, shape the gate into just a slight bend so the center comes outward. Add a touch of glitter to blooms and preprinted elements on outside and inside of card.

Clean & Simple Stamping Fun!

Happy Friday!
C'mon...I know you're doin' the happy dance (or at least want to)
because the weekend is almost here!
Glad you were able to squeeze in some time to come visit with me!

Now, I have a confession to make!
Those of you who have been followers here for awhile may already know this about me...
Ready?

I am not a clean and simple kinda card making girl!
LOL
There, I've admitted it!

However, that being said, I could not resist trying another CAS card when I saw the cute "Into the Woods" stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn at Scrapbooks by Designs!

Into the Woods Into the Woods Dies

I decided that I wanted to just do a simple fall scene with cute little fox
in the center of the card.
I began by inking and stamping the fox image in black and setting it aside to be colored and die cut later on when dry.
While waiting for the animal image to dry, I inked up the tree stump stamp and stamped it onto my white 4.25"x5.5" pre made card base, basically in the centre.  I then chose the sentiment I wished to use, stamped it directly under the tree stump keeping in mind to position it so the fox would still have room to be applied to the card and things would still look centered.
I then chose several colors of autumn colored inks and stamped a few different colored leaves falling around the scene.
Going back to the fox image which is now dry, I chose to color him with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
Did you know you can find those at Scrapbooks by Designs as well?
They are a great marker to work with and I love mine!
I then die cut the image with the matching die and my BigShot machine and popped him up off the page with 3D pop up squares just in front of the tree stump.

Are you ready by now to see how this little creation turned out?

I'll keep you in suspense no longer!  LOL

This adorable set has so many different options!
I chose to create an autumn themed card because the leaves are turning colors in our area already and I am always in awe of the beauty!  And, I do love fall!
However, just think...you could create a "Get Well Soon" card with the fawn and the "Oh Deer" sentiment...a "Hello/Thinking of You" card with the adorable racoon and the "hello" sentiment...an "Any Occasion" card with the fun little acorn and the "smile" sentiment.  Mix and match anyway you want and come up with an adorable set of cards!

I hope you feel I've pulled off this CAS creation and have been inspired to create one of your own.
