Happy Holidays with Amazing Paper Grace...

 Hello and Welcome!
I'm so glad you've popped by for a visit today!

For this week's share, I am featuring the Mosaic Bracket Card Builder from Amazing Paper Grace! I love this collection of dies, and couldn't wait to try it out on an A2 sized holiday card. I so appreciate that the dies from Amazing Paper Grace are designed to work with a multitude of card sizes!

I chose to use some fun decorative papers to do a more non traditional colored holiday card! I love how the striped paper plays off the bottom snowflake design...I love how the mosaic die cut looks over top the snowflake design!

-this project has been created with dies supplied by Amazing Paper Grace-

I chose to go with some gold card stock to add an extra touch of elegance to today's design. I love how the layers on the top bracket portion turned out...what a beautiful way to break up two decorative patterned papers! I opted to die cut some snowflakes from the Silent Night Make a Scene Die Collection to tie in the with the snowflake theme on the bottom. I thought it turned out kinda cute!

And of course, I just couldn't resist adding some white poinsettias created with the Shapeabilities Cinch and Go Poinsettias! I love the subtle embossing these dies create on each petal! And don't they look awesome with glittered white flower stamens in the center!

The Happy Holiday Sentiment has been cut from white card stock twice and then layered onto the gold backing! By layering your sentiments, they have more of a presence and look a little more substantial look on your card! It's a quick and easy technique that gives a great impact...the little extra work is definitely worth it!

Well, I do hope you've enjoyed today's share! It's been great spending a few minutes with you today! I hope to see you again soon!

Until next time...

Quick Holiday Inspiration with Amazing Paper Grace...

Hello and Welcome!

I'm so glad we get to spend some time together today!

I'm popping in with a quick holiday card I created using several dies from Amazing Paper Grace!

-the dies for this project have been graciously provided by Amazing Paper Grace

I opted to use the gorgeous scrollwork die from the Celebrate Scrollwork Card Builder, and pair it with the Flourished Sonata Notecard. First I die cut a shaped card base using the notecard base...I chose to use it to create a slimline card shape rather than a smaller note card. I simply omitted the bar you'd put in for the fold, popped one of the long cutting edges off a piece of folded cardstock large enough to fit the card onto, and die cut it using my die cutting machine.

Next I die cut the scrolling background...I took a slimline sized piece of white card stock, die cut one end with the scrollwork die, then realigned it to die cut the other end so that I was left with one long scrolling die cut with a diamond shape in the middle. This is the layer that I'll be adding next on top of my decorative paper.

I then grabbed some gold card stock and die cut the decorative border from the Flourished Sonata Notecard. I love the richness the gold color lends to the card! We now have a gorgeous background ready to layer up with our sentiment and flowers!

I then die cut the petal pieces for the poinsettias! I've used the Shapeabilities Cinch and Go Poinsettia Set to create this pretty Christmas flowers! I've die cut them in a cream colored card stock to match the paper I've stamped the sentiment on...and then inked the petals with Red Geranium Archival Ink, and the leaves (which I've created using the largest poinsettia flower) in Olive Archival Ink! I decided to bling them up with some pretty pearl and rhinestone centers that I purchased from Etsy!

I then added some white accent flowers that I created using the Petite Floral Potpourri Collection! A simple glittered flower stamen in the center was the perfect finishing touch for them! Subtle and not in competition with the bold poinsettia flower centers!

I'm always so impressed how quickly and easily a card comes together with the Amazing Paper Grace dies! I do hope you've enjoyed today's share!

Until next time...

Silent Night Christmas Village Fun Featuring Amazing Paper Grace...

Hello and Welcome!

I have a fun holiday card to share with you today featuring the Silent Night Make a Scene Die from the Holiday Medley Collection by Becca Feeken!

You'll see that this set has been designed to create an interactive card, however I opted to create a little village scene with it on a simple A2 sized card! I began by picking out some patterned paper from a Recollections Collection that my kids had gifted me years ago! I wanted this card to be festive, so I went with some brighter greens, a pretty reddish burghandy, a hint of brown, and of course some winter whites!

I opted to die cut an rounded shape in the center of the card using the decorative circle die from the Sweet Serenade Notecard Collection! It is from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard! I thought it was a pretty shape that added more interest than just a circular shape. I then used the same dark green paper that I used as the background mat to cut a frame using the regular circle and the fancy version to create a frame which I adhered around the front! It really draws the eye into the scene this way!

*the dies for this creation have been graciously supplied by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace*

So, to give this creation a little bit of dimension, I've matted the dark green background paper to the card front, but have used some foam tape to add the bright green layer. This way my little village appeared further back as if you were gazing into the scene!

I got busy cutting my village pieces. I chose to stick with the same paper collection and use some pretty polka dotted paper in browns, greens, and reds. Do you ever die cut your focal die cuts from patterned paper, or do you opt to stick to solid card stock colors? I love the way this little polka dotted village turned out...I think it's adorable!

Now, you'll notice that I did cut the sleigh die cut as I knew I wouldn't have room for the full team of reindeer...but I didn't want to leave Santa off the card! Cutting your die cuts is a great way to get different uses out of them...it's like customizing them to your card creation!

I love how the scene actually almost turned out like a little snow globe scene! I thought the holly and berry die cuts would be the finishing touch and balance out the design! And, let's talk about that great sentiment which I pulled from the Mosaic Bracket Card Builder! I opted to die cut it twice...once in a red color and again in white...I've layered the two pieces of each together and have them applied them to the front of the card! Doesn't the sentiment just finish out the card beautifully!?!

For the finishing touch, I used some Stickles to give the scene the look of falling snow! It was the perfect way to add some sparkle and shine to the finished card!

I do hope you've enjoyed today's share! I'd love to know what you think! Feel free to leave me a comment below!

Candy Cane Creation....

Hello and Welcome!
I'm so glad we get to spend some time here again together in blogland! I've been
MIA this summer! I can't believe it's the last week of summer vacation for the
kiddos and next week they head back off to school!

Today I wanted to share a super quick and simple card I created using the Candy Cane Cottage Collection from Heartfelt Creations! While I know it is filled with the most adorable illustrations of penguins at play, a gorgeous gingerbread house, etc. I wanted to show you that you can create something super fast and simple with this collection that doesn't require you to color any of those adorable illustrations...after all, sometimes we're just in a hurry!

I opted to use several die cuts on this project to do the bulk of the design work on this candy cane themed card. If you've not yet used the Heart of Joy Decorative Die, be sure to not overlook that gorgeous die cut! You can use it in so many different configurations! I die cut the intricate die cut from white card stock, and then used a piece of sponge to apply Designer Dries Clear Adhesive to the entire die cut. I then sprinkled it with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear to give it that magical holiday shine! I've matted my card 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base with some of the candy cane stripe designer paper from the Candy Cane Cottage paper collection and have then adhered the die cut across the top in the landscape position.

I then stamped the two large candy cane illustrations from the Season of Glee Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink - Vermillion. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

For the sentiment, I opted to use the pretty label like die cut from the Ornamental Tags Die
I die cut the background of the tag die in a red decorative paper from the designer paper collection, and then cut the center portion from white card stock. I stamped the sentiment from the Candlelit Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set onto the white portion using Ranger Archival Ink - Vermillion. I then adhered the layers of the tag together.

Lastly, I adhered a mid sized double poinsettia and some holly leaves I had left over from a previous project. The poinsettia was stamped in Ranger Archival Vermillion onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper - colored with a combination of Ranger Archival Ink - Buttercup, Leaf Green and Red Geranium. It was then die cut with the coordinating die, edged with Ranger Archival Ink - Vermillion, and shaped using the coordinating 3D Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold

As for the holly leaves, they were stamped onto the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper in Ranger Archival Ink - Olive, and then colored in with Stack and Store Daubers with a combination of Ranger Archival Ink - Leaf Green, Vivid Chartreuse...die cut with the coordinating die, and then edged in Ranger Archival Ink - Olive. They too were shaped along with the poinsettias in the 3D Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold.

Then came time to finish the assembly of the card.
I adhered the candy cane images to the side of the card as shown.
I then adhered the sentiment to the center of the card, overlapping the candy can illustrations using pop dots to give the design some dimension. I then adhered the poinsettia and holly leaves as shown.

For the last and final step, I added yellow prills to the poinsettia center, and using a fine metal tip and Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, I added some Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to the petals and holly leaves. The icing on the cake was the three pearl halves I added as accents to the bottom corner of the card opposite the candy cane cluster.

I do hope you've enjoyed today's simple share!
It's definitely one of the holiday cards you could duplicate several times over and have completed quickly and easily ahead of the holiday season.

Until next time...

Since I didn't have time to work with this collection before I went away on vacation, I opted to create a super simple card creation for my first inspiration project!
Did you know that in each Heartfelt Creations paper collection there are an abundance of premade card panels? They are perfect for the times that you don't have time to do complicated design and need a card quickly!

...here's a peek at my first project using this glorious collection...I've used one of the premade card panels which made it super quick and easy....

(I apologize for the somewhat blurry photo...for some reason when it uploads, it does not upload clearly as it appears in my photo editor...and I'm super frustrated with it at the moment!)

First I die cut the circle center using one of the dies from the Circle Basics Large Die.
I've trimmed a mat for the background just slightly smaller than the 4.25" x 5.5" card base, and have then used dimensional tape to add the rectangle portion of the card to the card base. Using my Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, I've added the center portion back into the center where it was originally was...this way it is recessed into the card panel and gives you that element of additional dimension!

To give the card a delicate feel, I chose to die cut the border die from the Starry Night Decorative Die twice from white card stock. Using scissors, I trimmed them down so that they would fit the top and bottom of the card panel.

I've stamped the pretty poinsettias onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Ranger Archival Ink - Geranium Red. Using my Stack and Store Daubers, I've added Ranger Archival Ink - Sunflower to the flower centers, Ranger Archival Ink - Geranium Red to all petals, and lastly a hint of Ranger Archival Ink - Leaf Green to a few places on the flower petals. I've then die cut them using the coordinating dies. For a finishing touch, I've inked all of the edges of each petal with Ranger Archival Ink - Geranium Red so they would pop a little more.

Once again using the Deluxe Flower shaping Paper, I stamped the holly illustrations using Ranger Archival Ink - Library Green. I've then colored the holly leaves using a combination of Ranger Archival Ink - Leaf Green and Vivid Chartreuse. The berries I have inked using
Ranger Archival Ink - Vermillion. Once die cut using the coordinating dies, I inked all of the edges on each leaf using Ranger Archival Ink - Library Green.

The shaping for both the poinsettias and the holly leaves are super quick and easy using the coordinating Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold! I actually shaped two layers at once, and they all came out beautifully detailed! The molds are such a time (and hand) saver!

I assembled double poinsettias using two of the same sized poinsettia flowers. I've created one of the largest, a mid sized and a small version as well. I then created a cluster on the top of the card as shown, placing holly berry foliage around the flowers...and have added a small flower slightly lower near the sentiment. The sentiment is a part of the paper collection and is a super easy way to incorporate your well wishes when you don't have the time to get stamping!

Lastly, I've added Go Mango Prills to all of the poinsettia centers, and have accented all of the flowers, foliage and preprinted images using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter!

I hope you've enjoyed today's share and I've inspired you to get a jump on your holiday card creations!
The premade card panels are perfect for the holiday season as there are usually an abundance of cards to design!

Non Traditional Hued Holiday Creation...

Hello, hello, hello!
I'm just popping in with a quick share of the project I featured today on a Facebook Live I did on the Heartfelt Creations Facebook Page!
Are you a follower of Heartfelt Creations on Facebook?
They have such awesome projects and content to inspire you there!

For this week's live, I opted to go with the Merry and Bright Collection!
I love the non traditional colors used in this Christmas Collection!

...here's a peek of the project we created together during the live...

Don't you just love those teals, blues, and purples?
Now, I will be honest, sometimes a collection gets released and I feel a little intimidated about coloring some of the images...the reindeer pulling the sleigh in the Merry and Bright Collection had me feeling that way! Does this ever happen to you?

Well, I decided I was just going to dive in with my Stack and Store daubers and give it a shot!
Do you know that it's much easier than you think!

I thought that a little window behind the window would add a nice touch to creating a winter scene. The window stamp and die combination from the Winter's Eve Collection is such a versatile stamp for all seasons and occasions!

Of course I also had to incorporate my favorite pine cone image from the O Holy Night Collection...I do believe that has appeared on every holiday card I have created so far! A small poinsettia and a decorated tree bough finish up the pretty cluster in the center!

For more information, colors, etc. please feel free to watch the replay of the Facebook live!

I do hope you've been inspired here today! Grab all of your Christmas crafty supplies and get those holiday cards done early...you'll be so glad you did!

Season's Greetings and Sparkling Poinsettias...

Hello and Welcome!
I'm so glad you're here!
It's been awhile since we've had a visit, hasn't it!

It is another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you! Do you know what makes these handmade cards quick and easy? It's making sure that you have pre-stamped, colored and die cut your images ahead of the design process! I try to stamp as many poinsettias onto a sheet of white card stock as I can, and will usually do multiple sheets...especially when you know you're needing to creative a significant number of holiday cards. Then, when the family decides to watch a movie, I'm up late waiting to pick up my daughter from work, or we're just watching tv in the evening, I can color away! The inks and other supplies are out once and I can just get it done! Then I like to die cut the images and store them away for when I am ready to use them. With a quick card base design, and with the embellishments just needing a bit of shaping, the cards get done very quickly!

...here's a peek at my card design share today...

I've used the Sparkling Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set to create these gorgeous holiday florals....and did you know that they are currently on the Limited Editions list? That's right, they are retiring...so if they have been on your wish list, now is the time to snatch them up at a fantastic price point! You can find them here!

I've also fallen madly in love with the pine cone image from the O Holy Night Collection! I think it adds such a festive holiday look to your Christmas creations...and is perfect for pairing with other favorite collections as well.

I've paired up the small wedding bells image from the Classic Wedding Collection with the O Holy Night Collection as I thought they were perfect for the holiday season! They make me think of the song "C'mon ring those bells, light the Christmas tree...Jesus is the King, born for you and me...C'mon Ring those bells, everybody sing...Jesus we remember it's your birthday"
Do I have you singing in now? LOL

The icing on a Christmas card is always the glitter! It's Christmas and we need some sparkle!
I've used the fantastic Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder on this creation, and I love the sparkle and the frosted look it gives to the floral clusters!

Well, I hope I've inspired you to get working on those holiday cards! Don't wait until mid November...the most wonderful time of the year is also the most busy time of the year!
Do pop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog as there are so many beautiful inspirational creations there that they design team have created to inspire you!

Until next time...
