Clean and Simple Classic Roses...

Welcome!
I'm so glad you've taken time out of your busy day to visit here today!

I have something a little bit different to share with you...it's a clean and simple design...the type I  usually shy away from...but the larger rose image in the Classic Rose Collection by Heartfelt Creations just deserved to be showcased in a simple fashion where all eyes are drawn to it!
Add the fact that we're blog hopping this month with Chameleon Markers, and I knew I would just do some coloring and create a very simple Sympathy Card.

Here's how the project turned out...

I've done some dimensional matting, as well as a touch of dry embossing on the white background paper.  A few sequins and the creation was complete!

Here's a closer look at that gorgeous rose image...

It has been a pure treat pulling out my Chameleon Markers again!  I had not played with them much until it was announced that we would be doing a collaborative hop with Chameleon Markers!  It takes a little to get the hang of these markers, but just as with flower shaping...practice practice and practice will get you there!
My coloring is not as perfect as I would like it to be...but it will get there!

Be sure to hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to get all of the details on the giveaways and qualifications to be eligible for the prizes being offered by Heartfelt Creations and Chameleon Markers.  While you're there, be sure to take in the other amazing creations the rest of the design team have created for your inspirations!

Until next time...

It's a Beautiful Life with You...

Can you believe that September is already half gone?
The kids have been in school for a few weeks now, and routine is starting to set in at our house.
The leaves are turning beautiful shades of yellows, reds and browns and you can just feel that fall is in the air!

Today is Wednesday, so if you've been following me for awhile, you know that means it's a Heartfelt Creations share!

Last week the new Classic Rose Collection was released!  Have you gotten yours already?
It's a beautiful flower and with so many different petal sizes, you can create any size rose you're needing for those special projects.

Here's my project share for this week...
(My apologies for the poor color in this photo...it's been raining again and I just couldn't catch a break with some sun!)

I've kept the project quite simple this week...a bunch of layered and dimensional matting creates an effective card base giving the creation some extra pizzaz!  I've colored up some of the stamped images used here using Chameleon Markers...we're participating in a month long blog hop in September...there are some great prizes to be won!

Join in the fun and learn some great coloring techniques! Chameleon Markers is offering a chance to win a 5 pack of Chameleon pens and we are giving everyone the chance to win a $25 Heartfelt Creations Gift Certificate when you leave a comment on the blog and join our creative community on Facebook.

Now, back to more details of my creation...

I've inked the petals on the dimensional rose before shaping with several shades of orange to give the preprinted peach florals on the card front and background a little pop!
I've added some pearls to give the card a soft and romantic touch...and voila...it's complete!
A card that can come together quickly and yet has some stunning dimension and visuals to it!
(You can find the full instructions to creating this project below.)

...and here's a close up of the dimensional rose nestled among the pretty vines...

Did you know...that not only are there a ton more stunning projects posted on the Heartfelt Creations blog created by the uber talented design team...but you can also print off the full instructions to each and every project making recreating any of these cards, layouts or altered art pieces easy!

Introducing the Classic Rose Collection...

It's new release day with Heartfelt Creations...and I'd like to introduce you to the "Classic Rose" Collection!  It's absolutely dreamy!

Here's a little about it...

Beautiful in color, exquisite in fragrance, and ever so dignified, the rose is one of the most coveted flowers found in chic bouquets, or carefully tended flower gardens.  Breathtaking in bud form, as a blossom gently opening, or in full bloom, it is a flower that calls attention to itself and beckons you to pause and quietly reflect upon its elegance.  Heartfelt Creations invites you to stop, fall quiet and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the new Classic Rose Collection!  Filled with delicate illustrations of roses ranging from buds, to full blossoms, rose wreaths and flower filled vines, the three cling stamp sets and coordinating dies included in this assembling will have you building gorgeous rose gardens filled with varying sizes of dimensional flowers as realistic as those found in nature themselves.  The captivating decorative paper collection will whisk you away to perfectly manicured rose filled grounds, serene meadows where brooks babble and wild roses hold their heads high, and alluring views from charming old world buildings clad in weathered brick and vining florals.  The handsome color palette of regal purples, deep brick like reds, rich corals and leafy greens filled with delicate swirls, stunning brickwork and floral patterns, along with tender handwritten script are among just a few of the magnificent elements found within this graceful paper assembling. So join us as we slow down, enjoy the view and take some time to linger and smell the roses.

Well, I fell in love with the gorgeous window scene in the paper collection and decided that the window die cut from the Botanic Orchid Collection would be perfect to pair with it on this project!

Here's a peek at my creation for the week...

...and here's a closer look at the new classic rose...

This month we are partnering up with Chameleon Markers...and if you haven't tried them yet, they are awesome!  I've used them in this project to color all of the foliage, as well as the stamped background rose images.  The shaped flowers have been inked using Rouge ColorBox ink.
I've added a touch of white gesso to some of the petals on each of the shaped roses just to give them a softer look.  I've added glitter to the stamped and colored images, as well as the preprinted image on the background paper.

I hope you've enjoyed this weeks project and have been inspired to create some beautiful roses of your own!  Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog for more amazing projects featuring this new collection as well as Chameleon Markers!

Frosty Friend Gift Bag...

Welcome friends to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!
This week I have a super quick and easy project to share with you...it's a Christmas gift bag!
I've used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file from SVG Cuts which you can find here!

Here's how my project for the week turned out...

The snowflake die paired with the skating snowman stamp and die combo made super quick and easy decorating!  I've added some Stickles to give it that holiday sparkle, and I've robbed the handles to use in my gift bag from a purchased one that had seen better days and was ready to be recycled.
I decided that it would be fun to create matching tissue paper, so I stamped the skating snowman image multiple times onto white tissue paper using a dark blue ink.

Quick, simple and yet effective enough to gift those Christmas items that you had to purchase because you didn't find the time to do handmade...or you have a few people in your list who don't appreciate a handmade gift but would use a handmade gift bag to pass along another gift!  LOL

Well, that's all for me today...short and sweet!
I hope you've enjoyed today's project...and be sure to stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog for more holiday inspirations showcasing the lovely Snow Kissed Collection!

Until next time...
