Floral Fashionista Corset Gift Box...

It's hard to believe that it is over so quickly, isn't it!

I hope there were a few Heartfelt Creations items under the tree for you!

Well, it's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and this week I have some quick and easy packaging I want to share with you!

Are you familiar with the gift/jewelry boxes that you can purchase at your local dollar store.
They are usually white in color and are blank with no design...so you can decorate them in any way you wish!
Well, I just couldn't resist sprucing one up with the Floral Fashionista Collection!

...here's how it turned out...

I am so in love with how this came together!
If you've followed me for awhile, you know that I always feel bad when giving someone a gift card!
This totally makes me feel better about gifting someone a gift card!

I chose a background paper and matted it onto the box cover, trimming is just slightly smaller than the box. I then added a delicate lace like die cut to the top and bottom of the matting.
I actually used one of the pocket accent dies from the Decorative Pocket Accents die and trimmed it to fit!

For the coloring, I've used my Zig Color Clean Real Brush Markers and a watercolor brush. Watercoloring is perfect for this feminine collection as it gives it such a soft feel. In this creation, I chose to watercolor a little more darkly, as I wanted that corset to be a little more brightly colored.

The flowers I have stamped in Ranger Archival Ink - Magenta Hue and Majestic Violet, and have inked their petal tips in the same color after they have been die cut with the coordinating die.
Then, shaping was quick and EZ with the coordinating 3D Petite Florals Flower Shaping Mold!

Select a piece of decorative background paper from the Floral Fashionista Paper Collection. Trim just slightly smaller than the size of gift box you have selected.

Using the small die within the Decorative Pocket Accents Die and die cutting machine, cut two accent die cuts. Using scissors, trim off pocket openings on each, and apply to top and bottom of background paper.

Locate sentiment strip shown on sample. Trim to fit on background as shown. Adhere background paper to gift box.

Stamp dress form and corset images onto a mixed media or water color paper using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Water color using Zig Color Clean Real Brush Markers and water brush. Once dry, die cut using coordinating dies and assemble as shown. Place dimensional foam tape on back.

Stamp one inking of each size florals within the Floral Fashionista Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using both Ranger Archival Ink – Majestic Purple and Magenta Hue. Die cut using coordinating dies. Ink all tips of the florals using the same ink color they were stamped in. Shape using flower shaping mold and Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Assemble several flowers as double blossoms, and leave some as single blooms.

Stamp one inking of the lilac swirls from the Lush Lilac Cling Stamp Set and Sweet Lilac Scroll and Notes Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Fern Green. Color using Stack and Store Daubers using Ranger Archival Ink – Fern Green and Majestic Violet. Die cut using coordinating dies. Shape slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Tools. Snip the largest lilac swirl into half.

Adhere dress form image to gift box. Adhere the half lilac swirl with larger blossoms behind top of dress form as shown. Adhere other half of lilac swirl to opposite side of dress form as shown. Adhere smallest lilac swirl to bottom of dress form on the side showcasing the sentiment strip. Adhere petite florals to gift box as shown in sample.

Lastly, using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, apply Crystal Clear Glitter to sleeves and bottom of corset, Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to flowers and lilac swirls, and Gilt Trip Prills to flower centers.

Anyhoo...here's a little more about the Winking Frogs...

Don your rubber boots, grab your field glasses and come along as we set out to explore picturesque marshes filled with dazzling water florals, glistening dragonflies, miniature forests of cattails and flourishing crops of toadstools! Walk softly and  be aware of your surroundings at all times as the delightful gems we seek are not always easily seen and blend in with their surroundings perfectly.  Pause and listen carefully as the only clues we have to follow, leading us to our destination are the soft and throaty croaks filling the cool evening air.  Follow the quick flickering of the lightning bugs as dusk begins to fall, being careful to not be seen in their shadows.  Now...grab your field glasses...we've discovered the habitat we've been so curious about! Through your field glasses you see them...you have a front row seat to witness their fun and frolic, entertaining antics and flirtatious ways, and can only hope to eventually be invited in to make their acquaintances and join in the laughter and merriment!  Come along side Heartfelt Creations as we discover and reveal the amusing and spirited "Winking Frog" Collection.  Vintage inspired illustrations will bring back memories of classic childhood story books, quick witted sentiments will add a touch of fun, and the serene and calming color palette of the collection is sure to speak to the heart of everyone who ventures here.  The invitation has been sent to join in on the high jinks, so now it's your turn to dive in...try your hand at creating beautiful water florals, hop from lily pad to lily pad on handsome decorative paper, play hide and seek with glorious die cuts and with the little polliwogs among the weeds and cattails....now aren't you glad you listened and wore your rubber boots!

The first thing I thought of when I saw this collection were old fashioned children's books, wedding announcements and a fun toadstool gift box!  It's the latter that I decided to go with to premiere this adorable collection!

I wanted this gift box to be something extra special....lots of sparkle, so it looked like something magical out of a fairy tale.  I actually envisioned this as a fun engagement ring presentation.  Imagine receiving your ring from your prince in this fairy tale container!  LOL  Those two wide eyed frogs in love sitting under their own toadstool being "croaked" to by the fiddle'n frog in the front yard of their mushroom manor!  LOL

...and of course one has to include water lilies and lily pads to this swamp style creation...all with a visiting dragon fly...

...and as these close up photos show you, I was completely serious about having this gift box sparkle...

Choose the papers you wish to use for the various pieces of the toadstool gift box and cut using electronic die cutter and downloaded svg files.   Ink all edges of all pieces using a brown colored ink and assemble gift box according to instructions with cutting files.  Trim sentiment strip (shown on bottom of box) and mushroom decorative strip (shown on lid of box) from the paper collection, ink all edges and adhere to gift box.  Cut several decorative die cuts from the Regal Borders and Pockets Die using red cardstock and adhere to lid of gift box from the underside to create a decorative border.  Fussy cut the frog couple image from the paper pack, ink with brown ink and adhere to box using pop dots.  Stamp Fiddle'n Frog, dragon fly, water lilies and lily pads onto white card stock using black ink.  Color and cut using coordinating dies.  Using a small spritz of water and the deluxe flower shaping tools, shape one double lily and two lily pads.  Adhere to top of gift box.  Shape dragon fly gently and adhere to top of toadstool.  Adhere frog to side of gift box, as well as a small amount of decorative moss where desired. Cut out some dots for dimensional pieces on top of mushroom using electronic die cutting machine, files and teal card stock.  Adhere to mushroom top with pop dots.  Apply stickles everywhere on gift box to create a magical storybook inspired gift box.

Sweet Sugar Hollow Valentine Gift Box...

This Wednesday over at Heartfelt Creations, we are continuing our tour through

Sugar Hollow!

Now, when I first got to see the preview of this collection, the first thing I thought to myself was that this would be the cutest collection to use for Valentine's Day creations!

I decided to create a little heart shaped gift box that one could easily use for chocolates, candies, socks, etc. for that special someone that you would like to surprise.

Here's how the little heart shaped box turned out...

I've used the patterned paper from the collection, and as you can see the inside is just as pretty looking as the outside.  An SVG cutting file cut with my Silhouette Cameo made this a quick and easy project!  I've then used my manual die cutting machine to cut the decorative heart using white card stock and the Timeless Amour Die by Heartfelt Creations.  I've colored the owl image, stamped the sentiment and added some flowers and leafy swirls to complete the project.

Choose papers from the Sugar Hollow Collection to use for the top and bottom of the heart gift box.  Cut pieces using SVG files and electronic die cutting machine.  Assemble box as per instructions that are included with SVG Kit cutting files.  Ink all edges of box and also lid heart embellishment using a soft brown colored ink. Trim the Owl Always Love You sentiment strip from the paper collection, ink all edges brown, and adhere around the bottom of the lid of the gift box. Die cut a lace heart from white card stock using the Timeless Amour Die.  Cut another from the light pink patterned paper from within the collection for the solid heart embellishment. Ink die cut with a brown colored ink. Cut several small pop dots in half and adhere lace heart to gift box.  Adhere solid pink heart to box as shown, using pop dots. Cut a label shape from the Cut Mat Create 1B Die set and using black ink, stamp sentiment onto label.  Ink edges with a brown ink and adhere to gift box once again using pop dots.  Stamp the owl image onto white card stock with black ink.  Color using Distress Markers.  Adhere to box as shown using doubled up pop dots.  Using green patterned paper from within the collection, cut two of the leafy swirls from the Cut Mat Create 1B Die set.  Trim one in half, shape and adhere behind owls.  Shape and adhere other swirl on top of lacey heart as shown.  Using a bright pink ink, stamp the flowers from the Birds and Blooms Cling Stamp Set onto a piece of pink floral and birdhouse patterned paper from within the Sugar Hollow Collection.  Shape flowers and adhere to gift box as shown.  Add silver micro beads to centers of each flower.
