Revealing the New Mini Insta-Album and Pocket Dies From Heartfelt Creations...

Hello!
I hope you are doing well!
It's another special release day with Heartfelt Creations, and I'm so glad you've joined me here to see what I've created with these fabulous new products!

You've probably seen the previews of the new Mini Insta-Album and the new decorative pocket dies! Heartfelt Creations has done it once again...you will not be disappointed!

For this week's share I decided to start a birthday Insta-Album and incorporate some of the pretty pocket dies as accents, as well as pockets!

Let's begin with the front cover...

As you can see, I've chosen to work with the fun and whimsical Sugarspun Collection!
This collection is perfect for creating an album celebrating a milestone birthday!
The listed measurements on the Insta-Album made it super quick and easy to mat the cover...I love not having to measure and measure again making sure I have my numbers correct!

I decided that it would be fun to create a larger rosette to act as a part of the album closure.
I opted to die cut four of the pocket dies from the Regal Pocket & Accents Die to use as background embellishments to the rosette. I glittered them up using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and then Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. I finished off the rosette with a large and small cupcake embellishment and then some brightly colored cherry blossoms! You can find all of the details as to how those cupcake embellishments were colored, glittered, etc. in the instructions below.

I have to say again that I was so impressed how quickly and easily it is to mat the pages of this Insta-Album! It's so great to just have to figure out where you would like your pockets to be placed and not have to worry about so much measuring!

So, onto the next few pages I went!
The page that I'm about to show you is actually the second page, which becomes visible when you open up the first flap on the left side. I thought it would be so much fun to put in some keepsakes from the party, so I opted to add two pockets onto that page.

...here's a pic on how this page turned out...

I matted the page in a one color decorative paper, and then accented it at the bottom with a piece of leftover scrap that still had some lovely cupcakes on it. I then married the two pieces of paper together using a sentiment strip also from the Sugarspun Paper Collection. I then worked out how to place my two pockets by cutting out two of the decorative die cuts and eyeballing where I would like them to be placed. Once I knew where I wanted the pockets placed, I die cut the straight pocket openings and then adhered the page to the Insta-Album base.

I created a cupcake topper pick that I thought would be a great piece of memorabilia from the celebrations...a large cupcake for a journaling spot, and a gift tag that could have been received on a special gift!

Of course I glittered up everything with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter so that everything just sparkles on the page...including all of the preprinted images on the decorative paper.

...moving along, here's a peek at another page...
This page is the one that actually covers the page that I just shared with you!
In this next photo, you can see how both pages would lay in the Insta-Album!

For this page I opted to keep it more simple as you can see the tag and cupcake topper behind it already adding interest as you work your way into browsing through the album.
I love this large half circle pocket die cut! It's so elegant! I decided to do the pocket so that it can be accessed from the side. I've glittered up the lace like die cut using Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter and it really sparkles and shines. As with all of the other pages, I've also sparked up all of the preprinted images on the decorative paper. The small card panels in the paper collection make for wonderful journaling spots or photo mats, and that's what I've tucked into this pocket.
Later when I continue working in this album, I'll determine whether I want to add some cherry blossoms to this page yet as well.

Continuing on our little tour...
...here's one final page to share today...

This is the center page that you first see when you open up the Insta-Album.
I decided that I just wanted this page to be a pretty focal point and introductory page to the album...no pockets, tuck spots, etc....just a pretty page!

I've die cut the pretty half doily from the Adorn It Pocket & Accents Die twice to create a partial circle around the premade card panel I chose to be the focal point of the page. I then die cut two of the decorative die cuts from the Regal Pocket Accents Die, as well as two of the corner accents from within the same die set. I glittered all of the die cuts using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. I then adhered them to the page as shown.

I trimmed off the outer border of the premade card panel to make it just a bit smaller. I then die cut the center circle using the Eyelet Circle & Basics Small Die. I adhered the square portion of the premade panel to the album page. Next I die cut the large eyelet circle from white card stock and glittered the edges before adhering the preprinted image to it.
I added a doubled up layer of pop dots and adhered the circle to the page.

All that was left was to create the floral clusters around the circle center on the page and then glitter up all of the cherry blossoms, foliage and preprinted illustrations!

I have to say that I don't really fancy myself an album maker, but this mini Insta-Album is just the right size for me to feel that it isn't an overwhelming task! The magnetic closure illustrations, along with the added measurements make putting together the basics quick and easy allowing you to get to the fun of embellishing quickly!

I do hope you've enjoyed today's share!
Be sure to pop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to see what the rest of the uber talented design team have done with this fabulous album and new decorative pocket dies!
You will definitely leave inspired!

Until next time...

Wedding Tag with the Heartfelt Creations Sentiments & Tags Special Release...

Hello, hello, hello!
I'm so glad you're joining me today!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and this is a special one...with a very special release!
Today we are releasing the Tags and Sentiments Collection! It is a fabulous assembling of tags and coordinating sentiments! It's everything you need for album making, scrapbooking or cardmaking!

Many of you already know that I made a wedding album for my niece as her wedding gift...well, these beautiful tag dies came just in time that I was able to incorporate them into the gift!

Here's a wedding album tag I created...

I've used the large tag and it's coordinating counter part from the Album Tags and Accents Dies. I've used the Classic Wedding paper collection to mat the tag base. I chose a portion of paper that had a beautiful image along the top and side that would go with my floral cluster. I've inked all of the edges with the Ranger Archival Ink - Pink Peony. Once the two pieces were adhered together, I die cut the hole for the tag with the horizontal die included in the same tag collection.

I then die cut the pretty swirling die from the Ornamental Tags Collection and stamped the Congratulations sentiment from the Celebrate Love Cling Stamp set onto the die cut using Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black and heat embossed it with a rose gold embossing powder. I opted to dust the embossing powder on very light as I was wanting some of the black ink to show through to give the sentiment an aged look.

Before adding the sentiment to the tag, I've used a sponge to add some dries clear glue to the swirling portions and have then sprinkled it with Crystal Clear Powder.

I added a floral cluster on the top corner consisting of a Sweet Peony, several smaller Classic Rose single blossoms, as well as a few Lush Lilacs scattered throughout. The foliage used in the cluster comes from the Classic Rose Collection, as well as the Leafy Accents Collection.

Lastly, I've added a Crystal Transparent Glitter to the preprinted images on the tag, as well as the floral cluster. The sparkle was incredible, and this picture does not do it justice!

I hope I've inspired you to get creating some specialized tags for your albums, scrapbook pages and one of a kind handmade cards! Be sure to hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to check out the amazing samples the design team have created for your inspiration!

Until next time...

Young at Heart Mini Album...

Hello and Welcome!
Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to visit with me today!

It's Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and I have a fun project to share with you...you might even
say it's "Young at Heart".

Just before the Young at Heart Collection was released I received a surprise email from Andrea Baker!  Many of you will have met her and Ben if you've attended any of the Heartfelt Creations craft shows.  Ben and Andrea are the busy bees behind setting up the show booth, creating those lovely displays you all like to gaze at...and of course as the awesome demonstrators who show you how easy it is to create all the various flowers!  I had the pleasure to meet this lovely couple in person last year at CHA...and they are every bit as kind, fun and wonderful as they appear!

Anyway, Andrea had just had the opportunity to check off one of her life's dreams from her bucket list and had gone on an amazing flight!  I had received some of the photos that she had taken in my design team delivery and had been wondering what I was to do with them...then the email came.
Andrea asked me if I would create a project with those once in a lifetime photos for her and the Young at Heart Collection!
I was so surprised...but so happy to do so!

I knew right away that I wanted to create some type of mini album for her...something that wouldn't get to complicated...and something that would just scream fun!

I broke out the Silhouette Cameo and some fun cutting files and set to work!

Here's how the mini album came together...

Let me apologize right away as this is going to be a picture heavy post...but I do hope you'll enjoy!

I chose several of Lori Whitlock's mini albums to create one of my own by mixing and matching several of the different page styles together! I die cut all of the pieces for the album first from kraft card stock and then duplicated the cuts with the patterned paper from the Young at Heart Collection that I wanted to use for the pages!

I knew that I wanted to use the map patterned paper for the cover because Ben and Andrea put on so many miles and travel all over the United States. I chose the font for the title from the Silhouette Design Store and opted to go with "Luggage Life" as that is the title of Ben and Andrea's blog!
I wanted the front cover to kind of look like a piece of luggage or passport with all the different stamps and pictures like a retro suitcase would have had on it!

Here's a closer look at the front cover...

I've fussy cut the images from the paper collection, inked all of them with a brown colored ink to give them a vintage feel and then adhered them to the cover.

Assembling this was super quick and easy as it's just bound with single binder rings.  I've dressed them up with different patterns, colors and widths of ribbon. I've added colorful reinforcements to each of the pages and they certainly brought a fun feel to the album!

Now, I must confess that I have not finished embellishing the entire album yet...and perhaps that will be a future blog post once it's completed.  However, I will share with the you pages that I have completed with the flight photos Andrea sent to me!

Let's take a peek at the first completed page which happens to be in the center of the album...

As you can see, I've done a little more fussy cutting for this page. I've also used one of the sentiment strips to accent the photo!  The flowers are from the Wildwood Cottage collection and I've given them lots of sparkle with some dries clear glue and transparent glitter and some prill centers.
I've added various sizes of Nuvo Drops around the floral clusters for some added interest.

...moving along to the second page...

For this page I've stamped, colored and die cut the airplane image.  I've popped it up off of the page to give it some dimension....and have shaped it slightly before adhering it to the page.
I thought the polaroid die cut was perfect for the retro feeling of the mini album and the selfie hashtag brought a little modern feel.  Again I've used the Wildwood Florals and have created several clusters on the page.

Well, that's my share for today!  I hope you've been inspired and found something new or interesting to try here! I hope Andrea will fall in love with her mini album as well once I have it totally finished!

Be sure to hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to take in the other groovy projects the rest of the design team have created for your inspiration!

Until next time...
