Sweet Tweet Christmas Greetings...

Hi there!

I'm so glad you're able to join me here in my little corner of blogland today!

I wanted to share another card I designed with the newly released Festive Christmas Collection from Heartfelt Creations! As you may have already noticed if you've taken a peek at the decorative papers from this collection, you'll see that the Ornate Window appears...so I thought it was only fitting for a second card to showcase how well this stamp and coordinating die work with this newest holiday release!

Here's a peek at my creation for this week...

I tried to keep this card a little more simple so that I could showcase the window well and keep it as the main focal point, just slightly accented. I've stamped the window illustration in Memento Peanut Brittle...I've inked two of them, and edged them with the same color as well. The first one I have cut out the outline and the center. The second stamped image I've used only the topper. The window pane portion has been adhered to the card front, while the frame has been added with dimensional foam tape to give the window some dimension and interest. The topper has then been added with foam tape as well. I've also created a blue "window pane" by die cutting an arched portion from a lighter blue decorative paper.

I knew I wanted that little image of the three birdies in a row to accent the bottom of the window sill.  Aren't they just so darling sitting there! They've been stamped with from the Berries and Birdies Cling Stamp Set onto bristol smooth marker paper using Ranger Archival Black Ink, and have then been colored up with my Zig markers!

...here's a closer peek at them...

Of course I couldn't create a holiday card without putting a poinsettia on it! And I love the foliage stamps and dies in this newest collection because they build up a beautiful backdrop for the flowers quickly and easily!

I opted to go with a smaller sized poinsettia which I created from the Christmas Poinsettia & Holly Cling Stamp Set, coordinating dies and shaping mold! I love how that system makes it so quick to create elegant and beautiful smaller poinsettias!

I chose to go very simple with the sentiment as well, just working it into the design of the floral cluster! I like the way it turned out...a little different way to add a sentiment! It was easy to do...I stamped the sentiment in Memento Danube Blue, trimmed down to the size I wanted and then snipped in between the words...a quick edging with Ranger Archival Leaf Green and they were ready to be tucked into the floral cluster!

...here's a closer look...

Aren't those little birdies nestled in among the foliage just so cute! And that one double poinsettia is the perfect pop of color for this card!

I do hope you've enjoyed today's creative inspiration! Will you be giving this card a try? I'd love to know..and I'd love see the finished result you come up with as well! Introducing the Festive Christmas Collection from Heartfelt Creations...

Hello My Friend!

It's another new release day from Heartfelt Creations...and this month is all about getting a jump on creating for the Christmas Season!

Have you taken a peek at this newest holiday collection....it's absolutely adorable! I love birds, so of course this collection won over my heart immediately! The beautiful color palette is amazing with it's different hues of moody blues, rosy reds and elegant greens! And the wonderful foliage accents make creating breathtaking floral clusters quick and easy!

Here's a peek at my first creation using this new collection...

I created a very simple card base by just doing some matting,  and then created a decorative frame with the Decorative Circle Frames Die to showcase the pretty sentiment. By adding some Gold Luxe Card Stock into the design, it immediately turns into an elegant and regal holiday card.

I chose to use the larger bird image in the Berries and Birdies Cling Stamp Set. I've stamped it with Ranger Archival Black ink onto bristol smooth marker paper. I've then colored the image with my Zig markers! The image colored up so beautifully!

Now, doesn't our feathered friend look amazing nestled in that beautiful foliage bed? I've stamped the holly leaves in Olive and colored them with my Stack and Store Daubers and a combination of Ranger Archival Leaf Green and Olive. The slender leaves have been stamped using Ranger Archival Leaf Green, and colored in the same. Of course, I've used the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper for these accents as I wanted to give them some dimension by shaping them with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Here's a closer peek at that adorable birdie nestled in his foliage nest...

Now, the Christmas Poinsettia & Holly Cling Stamp Set and coordinating die make the perfect flower accents for this new Christmas collection. I've stamped the petals onto a piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Ranger Archival Carnation Red. I colored the centers up with Ranger Archival Ink Sunflower. I then colored the petals with the same ink they'd been stamped in. Next came the die cutting. After all petals had been cut, I inked the edges of the petals with the Carnation Red ink just to give them a little extra definition. The coordinating shaping mold made shaping the petals and leaves super quick and easy!

I followed the same steps with the holly leaves from the Christmas Poinsettia Collection. I stamped the largest leaves onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Ranger Archival English Ivy. I used my Stack and Store Daubers to color the leaves in with the same color they were stamped in. I proceeded with die cutting and once again inked the edges with the coordinating ink.

I assembled two smaller poinsettias and one larger. The smaller I added into the bottom corner cluster, and used the remaining two flowers to the top corner cluster as shown.

Let's take a closer look...

The floral clusters came together so quickly and easily. The foliage accents are such a nice size for creating a full foliage background to set the stage for the poinsettias! They are also perfect for framing a sentiment!

I finished up the poinsettia centers with some Heart of Gold Prills...and of course added some Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter for that beautiful holiday sparkle.

I do hope you've enjoyed my share today! Be sure to pop by the Heartfelt Creations blog to take in the other stunning projects created by the super talented design team. To get the full instructions to recreate this card, please visit the Heartfelt Creations Gallery here!

Floral Sentiments Special Day Card

 Hello my friends!

I'm so glad you could join me today! Grab a cuppa and let's have a peek at the newest card I've created with the newly released Floral Sentiments Collection from Heartfelt Creations!

This week I decided to use the last stamp set from the Floral Sentiments Collection that I hadn't had a chance to use yet! The beautiful Special Floral Sentiments Cling Stamp Set!

Let's begin with a look at the project...

I wanted to keep this 5"x7" card simple and fuss free, so I began with some simple matting using white card stock and some pretty papers from the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection. I also wanted to keep the design super mailable as there are definitely times we need a card that has only a little dimension and this new release is absolutely perfect for this purpose!

I decided that I needed a pretty die cut to anchor the gorgeous sentiment! It gave me the chance to play with the Slim Lattice Oval Die which I'd been eyeing up in my craft room, but not used yet! Because this is a slimline die cut, I knew that I'd have to trim off the ends as my card measures 5"x7".  Using my Dries Clear Adhesive and Fine Metal Glue Tip, I adhered the die cut to the card panel....making sure that I didn't apply glue right to the ends, as they were going to be trimmed!

As I wanted the sentiment to be the focal point of the card, so I stamped it in black and then die cut the outer edge of the image with the outer portion of the coordinating die. I've then adhered it to the center of the card with dimensional foam tape.

Next, I stamped the image twice onto bristol smooth marker paper and colored both images using Zig markers. I opted to go with a red hue for the flowers to match the reddish paper I'd used as a matting background from the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection.

Here's a close up of the colored florals...

These images are so very quick and easy to color...the whole collection is just perfect for creating a quick card!

I die cut each of the images, this time using the inner and outer portion of the coordinating die...this way I had two frames. One frame I used to cut the floral pieces into sections and shaped them with my Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. This will give the card a subtle hint of dimension when the flowers are layered.

The other colored frame I left as is. I then die cut two more of the same without the stamped image and layered them onto the back of the colored frame. When placed over top of the sentiment, this will give it a nice framed/inset appearance.

After adhering the colored frame overtop the sentiment, I adhered the shaped florals and added them into the frame giving it a slight dimensional appearance. A hint of glitter and the card was complete!

I do hope you've enjoyed today's share! I've included the link for the full instructions here! Be sure to check out the other design team members creations over on the Heartfelt Creations blog...they never fail to impress!

Until next time...

Debuting the Floral Sentiments Collection from Heartfelt Creations

Hello my friend!

It's been forever since we've met here, hasn't it!

With having stepped away from my livestreaming commitments with Heartfelt Creations, this will once again become the place to catch up with me on what I've been creating! I'm hoping to still meet with you here to inspire you from time to time!

Today is another release day with Heartfelt Creations! Have you seen the beautiful Floral Sentiments Collection? It's a new release that is sure to be used time and time again...with it's beautiful florals and stunning sentiments!

Let's take a peek at my creations featuring this newest collection...

The Floral Sentiments Collection allows you to create full sentiment floral pieces, or stunning floral frames depending on how you choose to use your die cuts! I love that Heartfelt always gives us several ways to use their products!

For this creation I've opted to stamp the Friend Floral Cling Stamp Set and Grateful Floral Cling Stamp Set onto bristol smooth marker paper using Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink. I've then colored the illustrations with my Zig Markers. I've die cut the sentiments so that I'm left with just the floral frames for both of these stamp sets. I wanted to show you how to create beautiful floral clusters using the flower images from these two stamps by snipping the sections apart! Snipping apart your die cuts is a great way to use your stamped and die cut images in a different and creative way!

As you look at your stamped images, you will find that there are natural breaks within the illustration where it is easy to snip apart the die cut into sections. You can create larger and smaller floral clusters depending on what you're wanting to design.

Here's a closer peek at the flower sections I've clustered together for this design...

To give the cluster a hint of dimension, I've gone ahead and adhered the first group of flowers to the card front, added the gold frame overtop, and then using some dimensional foam tape have applied the last layer of flowers. This gives your floral cluster a beautiful effect...the flowers look like they are growing together and appear multi dimensional! This tiny bit of dimension still even allows you to make this a mailable card...perfect for those friends and loved ones who live further away!

For the sentiment, you'll notice that it appears alone, and not as illustrated on the stamp! This is a super easy technique to achieve and again allows you to use the sentiment portion of the stamp in a new and exciting way! Using your stamp tool/acrylic block, simply ink the sentiment only using a Zig marker. I've used the MISTI to achieve this, and have actually had to ink the sentiment with the marker twice to achieve a nice dark appearance.

I chose the Fancy Classic Rectangle Frame Die to create the embellishments on the card base! It's such a beautiful die that yields such pretty results! I love the die cut frame that I did from the bold floral paper within the Floral Sentiments paper collection. It gives the card a nice pop of color and interest!

The gold layer within the matting and the inner gold frame die cut from the Luxe Gold Cardstock gives this design such an elegant appearance. I wish you could really see this card in person, as the photos don't do it justice!

The finishing touch of course is the application of the Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter! It is one of my favorite glitters...it lends such a beautiful shimmer and shine while not being "over the top"!

I do hope you've been inspired today! I'd love to know what you love about this newest collection and the project that I've shared with you...feel free to leave a comment below! I'd love to know that you stopped by!

I've also included the instructions to this card below for your inspiration! Instructions

Finished top fold card measures 6”x8”. To create card base, using white card stock cut card front panel measuring 6”x8”, and back panel measuring 6”x8 1/2”. Score back panel at 1/2” and using Dries Clear Adhesive adhere two card panels together to create top fold card base.

Create first matting layer using light green decorative paper from the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection. Adhere to front of card base.

For next section of matting layers, cut a piece of white card stock measuring 5 1/2” x 7 1/2", a piece of Luxe Gold Cardstock measuring 1/16” smaller, and a piece of multi colored patterned decorative paper from the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection another 1/16” smaller. Adhere together in the order that has been listed for cutting. Apply dimensional foam tape to back of layered section and adhere to card base.

Die cut larger decorative frame from the Fancy Classic Rectangle Frame Die using one of the bold floral pages within the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection. Adhere to card base using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. Next, die cut the center portion of the Fancy Classic Rectangle Frame Die using the same light green decorative paper used in the first layer on the card base.

Using the Grateful Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp set and stamp tool/acrylic block, position where sentiment placement should be on center die cut, ink sentiment portion only using black Zig Marker and stamp sentiment. Adhere to card base using dimensional foam tape.

Die cut center frame from Fancy Classic Rectangle Frame Die using Luxe Gold Cardstock, and set aside until ready to arrange stamped floral images.

Stamp one inking of the Grateful Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set, along with one inking of the Friend Floral Cling Stamp Set onto white Bristol Smooth marker paper using Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink. Color with Zig Markers or coloring medium of your choice. Die cut both images using coordinating dies including center portions to create two floral frames.

Snip apart floral frames to create smaller floral clusters. You will see that there are natural breaks within the illustration where snipping apart will be easy, lending the smaller pieces to be layered to create pretty mixed floral clusters.

Locate gold frame cut out earlier, and place (not adhere) on design. Create a cluster of florals from the Grateful Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set at the top left corner of the raised sentiment, as well as the bottom left corner, arranging them under the gold frame. Once happy with placement, adhere to card front. Next, adhere gold frame to card front.

Finish floral clusters with the flower sections snipped from the Friend Floral Cling Stamp Set using double sided foam tape.

Lastly, using a piece of Hydra Sponge, apply a small amount of Dries Clear Adhesive to floral clusters and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter.
