Introducing the Happy Camper Collection...

Welcome to my little spot in blogland!

I'm so glad to be able to spend a few minutes with you here today!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday...and it's a new release day!

Have you seen the preview of the Happy Camper Collection?

It is just the sweetest assembling of papers, stamps and dies!

Now, we are a family of avid campers, so this collection has become a fast favorite of mine!

...let me share a little about this newest collection...

Whether parked in a secluded campsite among the towering pines, or hunkered down in a modern camping resort, spending time in your home on wheels always guarantees fantastic memories made, and time to slow down and unwind. Soaking up the sun, splashing in the lake, and then heading back to warm up around the campfire and enjoy a chocolatey s’more while the stars come out and flickering fire flies dance through the trees…this is life at its finest! Join us as we celebrate grand traveling adventures with the new Happy Camper Collection from Heartfelt Creations! Wind your way through a fun filled decorative paper collection showcasing picturesque scenes of playful campsites featuring whimsical camper trailers, exciting sentiments, and cheerful florals! Relax and kick up your feet as you soak in the happy colors of grass like greens, sunny yellows, rustic reds, playful pinks and sky blues, along with enchanting patterns including colorful banners, bright polka dots and pleasing plaids! An adorable assembling of cling stamp sets, along with coordinating dies, allow for designing and creating a multitude of adventurous scenes and settings perfect for the summer season! With two adorable camper trailers, an assortment of camping themed accessories such as stringed lights, playful party banners, a charming patio set, as well as a campfire and your favorite fur baby, the design possibilities for handmade greeting cards, scrapbook layouts and altered art projects are endless, allowing you to dream up the perfect happy place to escape to! Now, for my first project, I just couldn't resist creating a camper shaped card!

Who wouldn't love to receive well wishes in an adorable retro style camper?

...here's how the project turned out...

Our daughter is hoping to work at summer camp this year after she takes her training program, and I thought to receive a card like this would be so much fun for her!

I've created a card base using the camper die and some white card stock. If you're not familiar with die cutting a shaped card base, Emma Lou has a wonderful YouTube video demonstrating how it's done...I'll pop that link here! I've then stamped, colored and die cut the camper image and adhered it to the shaped card base.

To color up this fun shaped card I've used my Zig Markers...I've stamped the image onto watercolor paper and then watercolored using a glass of water and a fine tipped water brush.

I love that this camper can be colored up in so many ways...you can create a more feminine version or a masculine!

I've die cut the door to the camper, the center of the wheel, as well as the window using the coordinating dies from the Happy Camper Die. I've then used some foam tape to pop them up off of the card base.

I've used the "I Miss You" sentiment from the For My Friend Sentiments Cling Stamp Set...and I have die cut it using the ticket die cut from the Ticket and Tags Die!

I've popped the sentiment off of the camper using some dimensional foam tape.

I've added some Nuvo Drops around the sentiment for some interest!

I've also stamped and die cut some of the little flowers, as well as as the flag banner included in the Elements of Home Cling Stamp Set. I've "planted" the flowers in front of the camper, and hung the banner along the top of the camper!

Lastly, I've added some Ultrafine Transparent Glitter using some Designer Dries Clear Glue to the curtains, the flag banner, as well as the flowers. It's amazing how that glitter brings the whole project to life!
