A Quilted Christmas...

Welcome!
How are you doing this fine day?

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and I have a unique Christmas card design to share with you today!

I decided I wanted to challenge myself to create a holiday card using the Patchwork Daisy Collection this week! I just thought the Snowy Pine Village from the Merry & Bright Collection would look fantastic nestled in and among some cozy patchwork and bring to mind old fashioned memories of sleigh rides where you are bundled in warm quilts! I hope you'll feel that I accomplished the look and will enjoy my unique share this week!

...here's a peek at how the design turned out...

I've used several collection in this creation...the village scene and the panel it has been stamped on  comes from the Merry & Bright Collection, the small patches have been stamped onto paper from within the Buttons and Blooms Collection, and the rest of the decorative paper has been pulled from the Patchwork Daisy Collection.

I've stamped with small poinsettias and the holly clusters onto decorative papers from the Merry & Bright Collection so that coloring would be kept to a minimum on this project. I've stamped the daisy images onto white card stock using black ink and have colored them using the Stack and Store Daubers and the colors listed in the instructions below.

...here's a closer look at the daisy border...

I've glittered all of the flower petals with Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear. It provides the perfect sparkle for all of your holiday creations!
Of course, those pretty fabric like patterned flowers needed real button centers...and the mini poinsettias some prills.

I do hope you've enjoyed the project I've shared with you today!
Do hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to take in the rest of the amazing projects the design team have come up with for your creative inspiration!

Until next time...

Locate the quilted look decorative paper within the Patchwork Daisy Paper Collection that is lighter purple in color and accented with the turquoise daisies. Trim out a section measuring 5” x 7”. Next die cut the section in half on a slight diagonal using the plain die from the Fleur Border Basics Die.

Locate and trim out preprinted card panel shown in sample card. Place low tack tape along the bottom and left side of panel, stamp Snow Pine Village image onto card panel using Ranger Archival Ink Pad – Sky Blue. Remove tape.

Next, stamp the Hand-Stitched Background Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink Pad – Sky Blue. Trim out stamped background to be just slightly larger than preprinted card panel. Adhere card panel and stamped background together. Adhere to card base using dimensional foam tape.

Adhere decorative daisy patterned die cut paper created with the Fleur Border Basics Die to card base as shown using dimensional foam tape along sides and bottom, and clear adhesive to top portion which overlaps illustration.

Die cut small corner lace like accent from within the Ornate Pocket Accents Die. Adhere to bottom of card base as shown.

Stamp one inking of the Patchwork Daisy Border and one inking of the smallest daisy flowers found in the Buttons and Blooms Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Stamp smallest poinsettias onto pink patterned paper from the Patchwork Daisy Paper Collection and the holly clusters from green patterned paper within the Merry and Bright Collection. Color poinsettia petal tips slightly using Ranger Archival Ink – Cactus Flower, holly clusters and leaves on border using Ranger Archival – Leaf Green, and all daisy images using Ranger Archival Ink – Sky Blue. Die cut all elements using coordinating dies. Hand shape daisies slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, and shape poinsettias and holly clusters using coordinating shaping mold. Create four poinsettia clusters using poinsettia flower and holly leaves. Leave the rest of the poinsettias as single blooms with no greenery.

Stamp one inking of the patches from the Pocket and Patterns Cling Stamp Set onto a light decorative paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection using Ranger Archival Ink – Sky Blue. Die cut using coordinating dies. Ink all edges with Ranger Archival Ink – Sky Blue. Adhere to card base as shown.

Adhere single poinsettias and holly clusters to floral cluster as shown.

Using a dries clear adhesive, apply Heart of Gold Prills to all poinsettia centers and buttons to patchwork daisies. Apply dries clear glue to all florals and foliage and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear. Add Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to preprinted card panel in background using a dries clear adhesive.
