Love Stood the Test of Time

Welcome back!
I'm guessing you're here looking for my current Heartfelt Creations project!
Before we move onto that....I want to know...have you seen the sneak peeks for the new upcoming release next week?  If not, I'm not going to spoil it for you...but you really must go to the Heartfelt Creations blog and check it out!  I promise you won't be disappointed!

Ok...moving along to my last creation for now with the "Everyday Heroes" Collection.
This week I decided to do an anniversary card!

For this creation I've used the Vintage Morning Background Floral cling stamp along with the Majestic Blooms die.  I've created the blooms to be tighter on this card and then glittered them up with some stickles to make them shimmer...after all a little glitz and glam is needed for a significant anniversary!  I found the "love" sentiment and the couple silhouette in the Silhouette Design Store and knew I wanted to use them in this design.

Here's a closer look at the flowers...

...and on this card I've done something that I never usually do...I've finished the inside as well.  I don't know why I never finish the inside of a card...I guess I just always feel it looks nice all white and clean when you open it up.  I usually will never stamp a sentiment on the inside of a card either...I guess I'm old fashioned and feel that a handmade card deserves a handwritten message!  LOL

Here's a look at the very simple way I've finished the inside of the card...a simple matching panel to the front and a few strips of washi tape...

I love the softness of the butterflies and the beautiful lace washi tape...I think they give the inside of the card a romantic feel.
For full instructions for this project, please see the end of this blog post.

Well, that sums it up for me today!  Remember to pop by the Heartfelt Creations blog to see the amazing creations the rest of the design team have dreamed up for your inspiration....and to check out the stunning new collection that will be available next week!

Until next time...

Begin by cutting a piece of white card stock measuring 12" x 6" and fold in half to create card base.  Locate the 6"x6" premade background card panel in the paper collection with the clock images.  Cut the panel down to be slightly smaller than the card base to expose a small white border. Ink all edges of the background panel with brown ink.   Cut ribbon to length and adhere to background panel.  Adhere background panel to card base.  Next locate the small card panel with oval as pictured. Cut and ink all edges with brown ink.  Using washi tape mask off the portion of the "My Hero" cling stamp you will not be using as well as around the oval image.  Ink the image, remove washi tape that may have ink on it and stamp.  Set aside to dry.  Locate the large scrapbook page in the paper collection that matches the background paper you've already used.  Fussy cut both the alarm clock and the pocket watch, ink edges with brown ink and set aside.  Cut the ornate die from the Everyday Heroes collection from light brown patterned paper.  Cut the die cut in half and ink edges with brown ink.  Adhere half of the die cut to the back of the small stamped card panel.  Adhere the card panel to the card base at a slight angle.  Die cut the fancy flourish from the Cut Mate Create 2A set using black card stock and adhere to the top of the small card panel.  Using 3D pop dots, apply the alarm vintage alarm clock to the top leaving a portion of the ornate die showing, and the pocket watch to the opposite corner on the bottom. Add two styles of coordinating washi tape strips to the top corner of the card near the ribbon, as well as to the bottom corner on the opposite side. Moving along to the flowers...locate a dark brown patterned paper in the collection and stamp one stamping of the Vintage Morning background cling stamp in black ink.  Die cut using the Majestic Morning coordinating die.  Using the flower shaping kit and some water mist, shape flowers...one large bloom, one mid sized bloom and one small bloom.  Adhere to card as shown.  Using the small leaf die and the swirling branches die from the Cut Mat Create 2A set die cut several of each.  Snip apart sections to apply to the flower cluster and ink edges with a dark green ink.  Add to flower cluster and once happy with placement adhere to card.  Apply white staman embellishments to the flower cluster.  Sprinkle enamel embossing powder onto several places on the card and heat with heat tool to set.  Apply ferro metallic paint to a few areas on each of the clock images to give then an aged and metal look and feel.  Next cut, ink, shape and adhere the "Best Wishes" ticket sentiment to the side of the flower cluster.  Die cut the couple silhouette and the love sentiment using an electronic die cutting machine and cutting files.  Trim the couple silhouette to the right size to sit just above the ticket sentiment (approx. 2 inches).  Adhere cut sentiment to card over portion of the stamped pocket watch image.  Moving along to the inside of the card, locate the paper you fussy cut the clock images from.  Cut a section from the paper measuring just slightly smaller than the 6"x6" card base as you did for the front.  Adhere to inside of card.  Apply several strips of the same washi tape used on the card front to one top corner and one bottom corner of the inside panel.  For the finishing touch, apply Patina Stickles to the tips of each flower and allow to dry.  You have now created a unique Anniversary card for a couple celebrating a significant time together!
