I'm so glad you've popped in today!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and I'm here to share one last card I created with the Sugarspun Collection!

This collection is perfect for so many different occasions... and is perfect for the young and the young at heart....after all, you never outgrow a cupcake!

For this week, I decided to stick with a simple design...sometimes less is more!
I opted to use two decorative die cuts laid over a premade card panel which had the center die cut and then raised to give the project some dimension!

...here's how my project turned out this week...

As mentioned above, I've used one of the 6" x 6" premade card panels from the paper collection and have die cut the circle center so I could later pop it up using pop dots, giving the card some simple dimension. I've inked the circle using Ranger Archival Ink - Buttercup before adhering it to the card base.

I've then die cut two decorative die cuts from white card stock and adhered them to the card base under where the the circle die cut window. I've then trimmed out a cupcake illustrated strip, cut it in half, and then placed half over each of the decorative die cuts. Then I've adhered the circle die cut to the card base using pop dots.

The cupcake images have been stamped onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink - Coffee...I thought that would be a softer look than using a black ink. I've used my Stack and Store Daubers to color up the cupcakes images with a combinations of Ranger Archival Ink - Pink Peony, Forget-Me-Not and Buttercup. The cupcakes have been die cut using the coordinating dies and the frosted layer has been adhered to the rest of the image using pop dots. I've then applied the cupcakes using pop dots in a staggered pattern.

To finish off the card I've used some Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter on the cupcake images, as well as all of the preprinted illustrations on the circle center die cut. Several color of Nuvo Drops finish up this beauty...it came together so very quickly and easily!

Create a 6” x 6” card base from white card stock. Locate premade card panel in Sugarspun Paper Collection, trim down just slightly smaller than card base. Die cut the center circle of the premade card panel using a circle slightly smaller than that on the panel using one of the dies from the Eyelet Circle & Basics Die. Ink all edges of card panel and circle using Stack and Store Dauber and Ranger Archival Ink – Buttercup. Adhere square card panel to card base.

Die cut two of the larger intricate die cut accents from the Petite Pocket Accents Die. Adhere one to top of card, and one to bottom as shown.

Trim out narrow cupcake strip from Sugarspun Paper Collection, trim to fit card base and ink all edges using Ranger Archival Ink – Buttercup. Adhere to card base over decorative die cuts accents.

Stamp birthday sentiment from Special Birthday Sentiment Cling Stamp Set onto die cut circle image using Ranger Archival Ink – Forget-Me-Not. Using dimensional foam pop dots, adhere circle image to card base.

Stamp two inkings of small cupcake image from the Sprinkled Confetti Cupcakes Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Ranger Archival Ink – Coffee. Color cupcakes using Stack and Store Daubers and a combination of Ranger Archival Inks – Pink Peony, Forget-Me-Not and Buttercup. Die cut using both coordinating cupcake and frosting dies. Die cut a cupcake base from white card stock. Adhere colored cupcake liner portion of colored die cut to white cupcake base. Adhere frosting portion to base using dimensional foam dots. Adhere cupcakes to card base using dimensional foam dots as shown.

Lastly, using fine metal tip and Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, add Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to cupcakes and preprinted images.

I'm just popping in to share a little project I created with the new Diamond Dies

from Heartfelt Creations!

I thought it might be fun to create a double easel card using these beautiful new dies, so I designed one which I shared on a Facebook Live on the Heartfelt Creations main Facebook page a few days ago.

I opted to use one of my favorite collections as I didn't want to create a super bulky card with large shaped florals, so I reached for the Backyard Blossoms Collection!

...here's how this project came together...

Base: To create your diamond shaped base for the easel card, use the largest diamond die from the Diamond Basics Die. Fold a piece of white card stock in half, and slip the top of the diamond die just off of the folded edge so it will not cut. This will give you the fold you need for the card base. Die cut using your die cutting machine. Next, take that base and open in, fold the top diamond in half...in other words, fold it down on itself (the easiest way to do this is to match up the tips on the side of the diamond to make sure your fold is straight. I like to use a bone folder to create the fold so it is a nice crisp fold.) This will create the large easel portion of your card.

Next, die cut two of the largest diamond shape from the Eyelet Diamond Die from white card stock. This will create your bottom base, as well as the base for the large portion of the easel card. Adhere one of the eyelet diamond shapes to the bottom of your card base. Set the other eyelet diamond die cut aside.

Going back to the first plain edge diamond die you initially used to create the card base, die cut one from the patterned paper of your choice. I've used the yellow patterned paper from the Backyard Blossoms Collection. Ink the edges of the decorative paper and adhere to large eyelet diamond die cut you had set aside. Now taking a strong adhesive, apply to folded half of card base and attach the diamond die cut you just created. This will now form the largest back portion of your double easel card.

Next, choose a nesting die from the Diamond Basics Die to create a mat for the bottom portion of your card base once again using the patterned paper you chose. Ink all edges and then adhere to card base.

Second Smaller Easel: To create the smaller diamond shaped base for the second easel on your card, use one of the mid range diamond dies from the Diamond Basics Die. Repeat the same steps as above to create a smaller easel. Die cut two of the eyelet diamond die cuts that correspond with the plain edge diamonds you chose for the smaller easel from white card stock. Adhere one eyelet die cut to bottom of small easel. Now adhere to main card base as shown, trying to line up diamond points as carefully as possible. Die cut a plain sided diamond die cut that coordinates with your eyelet die cut, stamp sentiment from Special Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp Set, ink edges and then using a hydrasponge, apply a bit of dries clear glue all the way around the edges of the sentiment die cut. Sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter and then adhere sentiment diamond to eyelet diamond die cut. Then, apply strong adhesive to folded portion of smaller easel and adhere sentiment die cut to small easel.

The smaller easel now becomes the stop for the larger part of your easel card. In just a few steps, I'll walk you through how to create the floral stop for the small easel on your card.

Sentiment (second): Die cut nesting eyelet diamond die cut along with straight edged diamond die cut. Ink edges of straight edged die cut and stamp "Let's Celebrate You" sentiment from Just For You Sentiments Cling Stamp Set. Using a hydrasponge, apply a bit of dries clear glue all the way around the edges of the sentiment die cut. Sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter. Adhere diamond die cuts together and adhere to main card base as shown.

I created a wildflower bouquet on the large background diamond using several stamps and dies from the Backyard Blossoms Collection. I then mimicked the same kind of bouquet to be the stopper for the smallest diamond sporting the center sentiment.

Small Easel Stop: For the stop for the smaller easel, I've used the coneflower image from the Blossoming Coneflower Cling Stamp Set. I've colored up the stamped image, die cut it with the coordinating die, and have then trimmed off the top flower head of the image. To create a bit of a floral cluster on the base of the easel card, adhere the remaining foliage piece you just trimmed down. Stamp some of the filler flowers from the Backyard Blossoms Cling Stamp Set, as well as the Garden's Edge Coneflower Cling Stamp Set. Color using Stack and Store Daubers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. Layer several of these accent flowers, cutting apart if needed, on top of the foliage piece you have already added. Now, add pop dots to your flower head that you trimmed off, and position is so it will stop the small easel portion of your card.

Lastly, to create the floral cluster on the back portion of the card, I have stamped, colored and die cut one of the same images we just used to create the flower stop for the small easel. I have used the same filler flowers as previously incorporated, and have added one small single coneflower to the front of the bouquet which came from the Garden's Edge Coneflower Cling Stamp Set.

Of course, for the finishing touch, we must apply glitter to all of our floral clusters. Using a fine metal glue tip on your Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, add a bit of glue along petals, stems, etc. and then sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter for a fabulous shimmer and shine!
