I cannot believe that we're already into the second week of January!
Time certainly does fly...doesn't it!
Well, as you already know, it's Heartfelt Creations release day!
This months collection is so cute, and is really a collection that will appeal to crafters of all ages!
Allow me to introduce to you the new "Sugar Hollow" Collection...
Heartfelt Creations invites you to enter the sweet and magical world of Sugar Hollow! Make the acquaintances of an adorable family of wide eyed and lovable owls who inhabit the beautiful and enchanting forest like surroundings. Each of these darling and delightful feathered friends comes with their own special personality and they are sure to find a soft spot in your heart! The sugary sweet color palette in this collection lends itself to adding a bounce to your step and and a happiness to your heart as you create with cotton candy like pinks, ribbon candy stripes, peppermint greens as well as several shades of confectionary grape lollipop like hues. A whimsical assortment of beautifully illustrated stamps showcase images of oramental bird houses, lovely trees and a wide selection of owl images which can be used to design for a wide variety of occasions. The fun and witty sentiments included add a playful charm making this a collection that will appeal to crafters of all ages. And, let's move along right to my creation...
I did something on this card that is something that I seldom do...and that is to ink all of the edges in colored ink other than brown! LOL I found it too bright, so I did land up inking a little brown over the colored hues just to tone them down a little!
I also finished the inside of the card on this creation...

This collection has so much potential.
So many wonderful sentiments to couple with adorable owl images! A collection to use for so many different kind of occasions!

Begin by creating a 6"x6" card base using white card stock. Find the 6"x6" card panel as shown on the front of card in the paper collection, cut and trim slightly smaller than the card front. Locate the smaller card panel as shown and trim from paper collection. Ink edges on both pieces with purple, pink and brown colored ink. Locate sentiment strip and trim to fit card. Ink all edges using the same color combination used on the other pieces. Using a piece of purple patterned paper from the collection and your manual die cutting machine, cut one swirl decorative die cut as shown. Adhere 6"x6" card front to card base. Adhere decorative die cut to smaller card panel and then adhere to card front as shown, followed by the sentiment strip. Using white card stock and black ink, stamp one inking of the coordinating owl image on the card panel, as well as one inking of the branch from the Birds and Blooms Collection. Color using blendable pencils and gamasol solution. Die cut the pieces using their coordinating dies. With a spritz of water and flower shaping kit, shape branch and small flowers. Adhere owl image over printed image on card front using 3D pop dots. Adhere branch to card front. Stamp one inking of the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set. Using a sponge dauber, lightly add a purple ink around the centres. Cut using coordinating die. With a spritz of water and deluxe flower shaping tool kit, shape flowers. Create double blossoms and adhere to card as shown. Add purple prills to centre of roses, and yellow pearls to smaller accent flowers. Cut out the larger sentiment from the paper collection and adhere to card using pop dots. Lastly, add purple rhinestone embellishments. To complete inside of card, locate a coordinating 6"x6" card panel and trim slightly smaller. Ink all edges using the same color combination as previously. Stamp the circle sentiment on the bottom corner along with the "I Am" Sentiment in the center of the circle. Using white card stock and black ink, stamp one owl in flight image and color using blendable pencils. Shape wings to give the owl the appearance of flying. Adhere to card near sentiment, adhering owl body to card base and using pop dots under wings. Adhere card panel to inside of card.
