Missing You....

Hello!
How are you doing today?
Are you excited because it's a special release day with Heartfelt Creations?
I know I sure am!

Today's product release is one that we've all been waiting for for several years...and we're so glad the new flower shaping paper is finally ready to make it's debut!

I opted to use the Cherry Blossom Retreat Collection for this reveal!

...here's how my first creation with the new paper turned out...

The beautifully smooth finish of this paper makes it perfect for stamping, coloring and die cutting...and shaping becomes a breeze when you don't have to worry about tearing and cracking!
I began the shaping process for the pretty cherry blossoms using the 3D Cherry Blossom Shaping Mold. While the flowers were still a tad damp, I used one of the smaller groove golf tools to just ruffle the edges on some of the petals ever so subtly. I love that this paper is perfect for both hand shaping as well as using the molds!

...and here's a close up of those darling cherry blossoms...

I couldn't resist pairing the pretty garden bench with the "I Miss You" sentiment as it just seemed like such a pretty reflective place to sit and reminisce about times with a friend or loved one you're missing. I tried to arch the cherry blossom branch so it appeared to be overhanging the seat. And those adorable songbirds...well they are just so darling!

The intricate die cuts were the perfect way to add a dreamy and feminine look...especially when they have been covered with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter.

I do hope you've enjoyed today's project!
Be sure to pop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to take in the other projects the rest of the design team have created! Everyone has chosen different flowers to work with using the new Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper so you'll have a fantastic assortment of flowers to take in and how beautifully they've shaped!

Until next time...
Project Supplies and Instructions

Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper

Other Products: white card stock, Big Shot die cutting machine, scissors, paper trimmer, spray bottle, water, foam tape, glue gun, MISTI, low tack tape

Create a 6” x 6” card base from white card stock. Locate the 6” x 6” premade card panel within Cherry Blossom Retreat Paper Collection that has a coral border and the preprinted bird house image. Trim slightly to fit onto card base and ink all edges using Memento Dye Ink – Rhubarb Stalk. Adhere to card base.

Locate large scrapbook page in the Cherry Blossom Retreat Paper Collection that has a plaid background and the large circular bird and foliage image. Cut a corner to measure slightly smaller than the background mat. Ink all edges using Memento Dye Ink – Rhubarb Stalk.

Next, overlay and eyeball where you want the oval window to be die cut so you can see the birdhouse image in the window and still have room for a stamped sentiment. Lay oval die from Eyelet Oval and Basics Large Die, secure onto paper using a low tack tape and die cut using die cutting machine. Position over top of background mat, but do not secure. Stamp sentiment through window onto background mat using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Using dimensional foam tape, adhere oval cut panel to card base.

Using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black, stamp one inking of garden bench and potted flowers from the Wishing Well Oasis Cling Stamp Set, the three birds on a branch, as well as the single songbirds from the Tweet Cherry Blossom Cling Stamp Set, as well one of the curved branches from the Cherry Blossom Retreat Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock.  Color bench using Zig Markers.  Using Stack and Store Daubers, color all foliage using a mixture of Ranger Archival Ink – Olive and Leaf Green, all branches using Ranger Archival Ink – Coffee, birdies in Ranger Archival Ink – Forget-Me-Not and Memento Dye Ink - Rhubarb Stalk, all florals in Memento Dye Ink – Rhubarb Stalk, and lastly potted plant with Ranger Archival Ink – Coffee and Rhubarb Stalk. Die cut using coordinating dies.

Stamp one inking of each size of cherry blossoms from the Tweet Cherry Blossom Cling Stamp Set onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Memento Dye Ink – Rhubarb Stalk. Stamp two inkings of foliage from the Tweet Cherry Blossom Cling Stamp set onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Ranger Archival Ink – Olive. Color center of cherry blossoms using Stack and Store Daubers and Memento Dye Ink – Rhubarb Stalk. Color leaves using Ranger Archival Ink – Vivid Chartreuse. Die cut using coordinating dies. Ink all petal tips using Memento Dye Ink – Rhubarb Stalk and all foliage edges using Ranger Archival Ink – Leaf Green. Place cherry blossoms, foliage and single songbirds into 3D Cherry Blossom Shaping Mold. Spritz die cuts lightly with mist of water and pass mold through die cutting machine to shape. While cherry blossoms are still slightly damp, use small golf tool to create edges slightly ruffled edges by running a line from the center of the blossom to the edge. Using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, push down flower centers. Allow cherry blossoms to dry completely.

Using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, pierce flower centers. For large blossom, fold 3 non wired stamens in half and put through flower center. Secure from backside using hot glue. Repeat steps for mid-sized blossom using 2 non wired stamens folded in half, and 1 folded in half for smallest blossom. Once glue has set, trim off threads as close to base as possible.

Die cut one large eyelet edged oval frame with center removed from white card stock by placing the corresponding sized basic oval die cut into center of large eyelet edged oval. Die cut using die cutting machine. Die cut two of the rounded decorative die cuts from the Elegant Pocket Accents Die. Using a piece of hydra sponge and dries clear glue, apply glue to both die cuts and then sprinkle with Ranji Chawla’s Crystal Clear. Set aside to dry.

Adhere rounded pocket die cuts to card base around the sides of the oval as shown. Next adhere eyelet oval frame over top. Shape bench, birds on branch and single branch slightly using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Adhere bench to bottom of card front, the single draping branch around the oval window so it hangs slightly onto the bench, and the birds on the branch over top of the oval window. Using dimensional tape, adhere potted plant to foot of bench. Using Designer Dries Clear Glue, add single bird to top of bench as shown.

Adhere shaped flowers to branches in clusters as desired using glue gun. Adhere shaped foliage as needed.

Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and fine metal glue tip, add Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear to all cherry blossoms, and Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to all foliage and preprinted images!
