Hello Friends!
I hope you are doing well!
As I sit here scheduling this post, we are once again experiencing very chilly weather...and I'm just so ready for the spring season!
So, it's the perfect time for the Lush Lilac Collection from Heartfelt Creations to be making it's debut!
It's a beautiful spring collection that makes me feel that perhaps the season of awakening is just around the corner!
Here's a little more about the collection...
The elegant, and well known lilac blossom takes center stage early in
the spring season and is one of the first flowers to usher in the season of new
beginnings! Enchanting clusters of tiny blossoms come together to create quaint
floral displays with amazing color and a sweet-smelling fragrance that brings
with it a feeling of gentility and old world charm! Join us in celebrating a
perennial favorite…Introducing the Lush Lilac Collection by Heartfelt
Creations! Venture out for a springtime stroll through a dreamy, garden themed
paper collection filled with soft hues of luscious lavenders, deep purples, sky
blues and pastel pinks accented with dreamy and romantic illustrations of cozy
cottages, lilac filled parasols and lovely lilac filled garden settings! Softly
scrolling swirls, vintage script and lace like details bring an old fashioned
charm to this soft and innocent assembling of decorative papers, while three
graceful cling stamp sets along with coordinating dies boast lush lilac sprays,
a fetching lilac laden scroll, several endearing sentiments, as well as a
winsome lilac filled parasol perfect for paper craft creations celebrating a
multitude of occasions! A wonderful mix of lilac buds and blossom petal
illustrations lend themselves beautifully to creating realistic and dimensional
lilac blossoms when paired with the coordinating die and will bring a gentle
touch of spring to all of your garden creations! So come along with us as we
celebrate new beginnings and springtime beauty with the new Lush Lilac
Collection!
Moving along, allow me to share with you my first creation with this breathtaking collection!
I opted to create this card with one of the Spellbinders dies that had been sitting in my stash for awhile but had not yet been used on a project!
I thought that it would lend such a pretty backdrop for that gorgeous cottage image!
I have to say that I can get lost in that cottage image!
It looks so tranquil and pretty...so I decided it would be the perfect serene scene to add the Praying for You sentiment from the collection of quotes/sentiments!
I also thought that it would be beautiful framed up with the window frame from the Winter's Eve Collection. I love how it turned out with the fancy top and bottom accents and I think it looks very regal paired up with the Spellbinders background die cut!
I stamped the largest lilac blossom from the Lush Lilac Cling Stamp Set, and several from the Sweet Lilac Scroll and Quotes Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using a dark purple ink. I've colored the images using a mix of ColorBox Wisteria and Memento Lilac Posies ink.
I've adhere the die cuts to the card base as shown, and then started adding the dimensional flowers.
The Lush Lilac Shaping Mold makes creating these little gems so quick and easy!
I finished them off with some prills in the center and of course a bunch of glitter so the card just shimmers and shines!
I do hope you've enjoyed today's share...and be sure to pop by the Heartfelt Creations blog to take in the rest of the beautiful projects the rest of the design team have created for the Lush Lilac Collection debut!
Until next time...

Decorative Die, Gemini Die Cutting Machine, BigShot Die Cutting Machine, tape
runner, paper trimmer, scissors, pop dots
Begin with a 5” x 7” white card base. Trim down a piece of blue hued
decorative paper from within the Lush Lilac Collection just slightly smaller
than the card base. Locate premade card panel with cottage image as shown. Trim
down the first outer frame of the image, and stamp sentiment onto panel. Ink
both pieces of decorative paper with ColorBox Wisteria ink. Adhere large mat to
card base and set aside cottage image.
Die cut the large decorative frame from within the Spellbinders Astoria
Decorative Die from white card stock. Adhere to card base using pop dots. Next,
die cut the window frame and two decorative topper elements from the Window Box
Elements Die. Adhere topper to top and bottom of window using glue. Cut apart
several pop dots and adhere to window frame. Adhere frame to cottage panel.
Adhere cottage panel to card base using pop dots as well.
Stamp two of the lilac clusters from the Sweet Lilac Scroll and Quotes
Cling Stamp Sets onto white card stock using ColorBox Concord ink. Stamp one
inking of the large lilac cluster, and two inkings of the lilac petals found in
the Lush Lilac Cling Stamp Set. Die cut using all pieces using coordinating dies
and color using a combination of Memento Lilac Posies ink and ColorBox Wisteria
for lilacs and ColorBox Olive Pastel ink for leaves. Use Tombow blender for
smaller areas, and for lilac petals add a light base of Memento Lilac Posies
with a hint of ColorBox Wisteria over top to create a multi colored lilac blossom.
Shape all stamped lilac clusters with Deluxe Shaping Kit and adhere
large cluster to top corner of card as shown, and the two smaller clusters
across the bottom and up the side of the card as shown.
Shape lilac petals using you die cutting machine and Lush Lilac Shaping
Mold. For full instruction on how to shape the Lush Lilac, please see YouTube
video here.
Adhere shaped lilac blossoms to clusters as shown.
To finish add prills to flower centers, and transparent glitter to lilac
clusters, shaped flowers and on cottage image using a dries clear glue.
