Hello Spring....

Hello and Welcome!
I'm so glad you're here with my today!

It's another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, and I have a special card to share with you featuring the Singing in the Rain Collection!

How about we begin the post with a peek first off this time...

If you're anything like me, once February hits you're just tired of winter and waiting for spring to arrive! I have to admit that while working with this collection, my winter blahs subsided for awhile as I was creating! This is just such a great collection for so many different occasions!

I opted to create a fun box card that was spring themed!
I didn't have much time to work on the coloring for this creation, so I used many of the preprinted images from within the paper collection that coordinate with the dies. I used the Box Card die by Spellbinders to create my base and started dreaming of spring as I put the pieces together!

I did stamp, color and die cut the flowers on the project and put them together as a lovely bouquet for those adorable rain boots to hold!

Aren't they adorable!  The bright yellow Nuvo drops brought such a ray of sunshine to the card!
I've added hints of glitter to the florals, as well as the rain boots however, unfortunately it doesn't show up real well in the photos!

And, that gorgeous spring umbrella with those beautiful birds...be still my heart!!
I thought they were the perfect addition to the card along with the rainbow in the background!
As you can see, I've added some of the smallest blossoms from the Wildwood Cottage Collection to use as accents on the umbrella and have also tucked a few into the boot arrangement as well!

While this card may look complicated and time consuming, it really does come together quickly because there is really minimal stamping and die cutting!
I've finished off everything with a dusting of glitter and I love how this cheerful spring themed card came together!  Can you imagine how this would brighten your day if you were going through a rough patch, had been sick or simply were suffering from the winter blues?
The sentiments on this creation were taken from the Singing in the Rain and Flowering Dogwood Collections, and can so easily be changed up with stamps you have on hand or preprinted sentiments from other collections!  How about creating it as a spring themed baby or wedding shower card...the possibilities are endless!!!

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's share!
Be sure to hop on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to see the rest of the inspiring creations the rest of the design team have put together for your inspiration!
Can't wait to see where your creative juices take you!

Until next time...

Using your die cutting machine, cut the pieces in the Spellbinders Heart and Home Scalloped Pop Up Box Die from white card stock and assemble using a strong adhesive.

Cut three decorative side panels from chevron patterned paper found in the Singing in the Rain paper Collection, just slightly smaller than the card base sides. Ink all edges on each of the panel pieces using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and adhere to card sides.

Next, cut three decorative panels for the side flaps on the box card from the small preprinted umbrella and birds card panel, just slightly smaller than the card flaps themselves. Ink all edges of each panel using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. Adhere to card base as shown. Adhere decorative edging from Spellbinders Heart and Home Scalloped Pop Up Box Die as shown.

Trim a piece of white card stock to support back of card and to include a written message. Ink using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and Adhere to card base. Adhere decorative topper from Spellbinders Heart and Home Scalloped Pop Up Box Die as shown.

Locate preprinted images of rain boots, umbrella and rainbow within paper collection that are sized to match the coordinating dies within the Singing in the Rain Collection. Die cut using your die cutting machine. Using pop dots, attach both boots together to create a completed pair, cut slits into boots where flower bouquet will be assembled.

Stamp one inking of each of the flowers in the Rain Boots and Blossoms Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Memento Danube Blue Ink. Die cut using coordinating dies and color using Stack and Store Daubers using various color combinations of inks listed in supply list. Using your Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, shape each of the florals slightly. Insert into slits in boots, work to arrange your bouquet and once satisfied with the arrangement, use a dries clear glue to adhere into rain boots. Using pop dots, adhere rain boot arrangement to card front as shown.

Next, using left over bits of white card stock, trim narrow pieces to add to umbrella and rainbow die cuts to give them a bit of a lift off of the card base inserts. Adhere to card base inserts once you have determined the height you wish to have them appear.

Trim out spring sentiment from the Flowering Dogwood Paper Collection. Snip apart sentiment into two pieces, snip a banner end onto spring sentiment and then ink all edges of the pieces using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink. Shape sentiment pieces with your finger slightly and adhere to top of umbrella as shown. Trim out Thinking of You sentiment from the Singing in the Rain Collection, snip a banner end into the end of the sentiment and then ink all edges using Memento Danube Blue Ink. Shape slightly with your finger and adhere to rain boot arrangement as shown.

Stamp one inking of the smallest Wildwood Florals onto white card stock using Memento Danube Blue Ink. Color using Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and Colorbox Wisteria Ink. Shape using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and adhere several blossoms to rain boot bouquet as well as on umbrella as shown.

Lastly, using a dries clear glue and transparent glitter, apply glitter to rain boot bouquet, rain boots, umbrella and all shaped florals. Create flower centers for shaped Wildwood Florals using Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Drops.
