Now, I will be the first one to admit that I am a cat person!
While I love our dog to bits and would miss him terribly, the cats always manage to worm their way into my heart...especially orange and white cats...I have a soft spot for them as they seem to have the sweetest personalities! So, it will come as no surprise that my project has a sweet orange kitten on it!
...here's the shaker card I created for my first project with this sweet collection...
I thought a shaker card would be so much fun to do with this adorable collection!
I created a 6x6 card base and went to work with layering different papers together.
I die cut the circle center out of one of the premade card panels and started assembling the shaker portion of my card.

I've colored all of my stamped images using Zig Color Clean Real Brush Markers and have used Ranger Archival Inks for all of the die cut florals and foliage. I won't bore you with those details...you can find all of the colors, etc. in the instructions listed at the end of this blog post.
Of course I've used the new Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper from Heartfelt Creations for all of the florals and foliage. These posies are so easy to shape using the coordinating 3D Purr-fect Posies shaping mold...and this paper just shapes so beautifully in the mold!
You will love it ...I promise!
Did you catch that I've also used one of the new pocket dies as accents in the background? I've glittered them up with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear so that they really glisten when the light hits them!
I've finished off the posy centers using Go Mango Prills and have added Baby's Breath Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to all of the stamped and die cut images so that the card has a beautiful shimmer!

Other Products Used: white card stock, pink and purple
sequin mix, clear seed beads, tiny purple beads, BigShot Die Cutting Machine,
paper trimmer, scissors, water, mist bottle, foam tape, craft foam sheet,
MISTI, low tack tape, smooth water color paper
Create a 6” x 6” card base from white card stock.
Locate background paper in Purr-fect Posies Paper Collection shown on card
sample and trim to fit slightly smaller than card base. Using Ranger Archival
Ink – Deep Purple, ink all edges with Stack and Store Dauber. Adhere to card
base. Next locate a pink patterned paper within the Purr-fect Posies Paper
Collection, as well as premade card panel shown. Using die from the Eyelet
Circle & Basis Small Die, cut out circular center image. Set illustration
aside for another project. Trim a piece of pink patterned paper to cover the
length of the card and just slightly larger than the premade card panel. Ink
all edges on both pieces using Ranger Archival Ink – Deep Purple.
Using a circle die slightly larger than the size used
to cut out premade card panel center, die cut a circle window from clear
cardstock. Using the same circle size you used to die cut the premade card
panel center, as well as the size you just used to cut the clear cardstock,
place the smaller circle die within the larger and die cut several circles from
craft foam. Using foam circle to gauge where you want your sentiment, use MISTI
to stamp sentiment onto premade card panel using Ranger Archival Ink – Deep
Purple. Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, glue the two foam circles
together. Next, using the same center circle from the combination you just
used, pair it with the eyelet border circle to create a frame from white card
stock. Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and hydra sponge, add Rajni Chawla’s
Crystal Clear to eyelet circle frame. Next, again using Designer Dries Clear
Adhesive, adhere die cut foam circle pieces over sentiment where shaker portion
of cards will be placed. Adhere clear window die cut to white eyelet card
frame. Add sequins, seed beads and small beads to shaker portion over
sentiment. Adhere clear window frame on top of circular foam layer using. Set
aside to dry.
Die cut two of the decorative pocket accents from the
Regal Pocket Accents Die. Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and hydra sponge,
add Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear to each. Set aside to dry.
Stamp two inkings of each size posies from the
Purr-fect Posies Cling Stamp Set onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Ranger
Archival Ink – Magenta Hue and Deep Purple. Color the posy centers with Stack
and Store Daubers using Ranger Archival Ink – Buttercup, the purple flower petals
with Ranger Archival Ink – Majestic Violet, and the pinkish flower petals with
Ranger Archival Ink – Pink Peony. Stamp two inkings of the posy foliage from
the Purr-fect Posies Cling Stamp Set onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using
Ranger Archival Ink – Olive. Color using Stack and Store Daubers and Ranger
Archival Ink – Leaf Green. Die cut all posies and foliage pieces using
coordinating dies. Place in 3D Purr-fect Posies Shaping Mold, spritz lightly
with water and pass through die cutting machine to shape. Set aside to dry.
Stamp kitten image from Playful Miss Kitty onto smooth
white water color paper using Ranger Archival Ink – Jet Black. Stamp one of the
large draping posy plant image from the Purring & Playful Cling Stamp Set.
Water color all images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and water color
brush. Die cut each using the coordinating dies.
Adhere shaker portion of card to pink patterned
background matting using dimensional foam tape. Adhere decorative pocket die
cuts to card base as shown, and then add shaker portion to card base using
dimensional foam tape.
To assemble floral cluster, adhere draping posy plant
alongside card as shown allowing one of the blossoms to drape near the
sentiment. Next position stamped and die cut kitten image and adhere to card
base using dimensional pop dots. Add posy flowers over top posy plant as shown,
as well as around kitten die cut. Add several flowers around bottom and
opposite side as shown on card sample. Using fine metal tip and Designer Dries Clear
Adhesive, add Go Man Go Prills to all flower centers, and Baby’s Breath
Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to all posy petals, leaves and stamped images.
