Well Hello There!
It sure has been awhile, hasn't it!
I've been jet setting all over and have neglected my poor blog for a little while now!
Shortly after Christmas we left for a business/family vacation in Las Vegas and after being home just a few days I went on a once in a lifetime adventure and attended the Craft and Hobby Association show in Phoenix!
This weeks Heartfelt Creations project features the adorable Wildwood Cottage Collection! I decided to create a wall hanging plaque from a base I purchased from our local dollar store.
This weeks Heartfelt Creations project features the adorable Wildwood Cottage Collection! I decided to create a wall hanging plaque from a base I purchased from our local dollar store.
Here's a peek at how this project turned out...
I've chosen a piece of decorative paper from the paper collection featuring some charming little birds and beautiful flowers to create my backdrop on the project. I've then used the fairy house die cut and added it to the side of the wall hanging. I've trimmed it to fit the shape of the hanging and have used some of the preprinted paper within the collection to achieve the brick look on the house. I've stamped, colored and die cut the cobblestone path and adhered it to the plaque with pop dots. The fairy herself has also been die cut from the preprinted paper in the Wildwood Cottage Collection. I've inked the door and the window and applied them to the cottage with pop dots to give the cottage a dimensional look. The little darling along with the fence have also been adhered with pop dots. The Home Sweet Home sentiment has been cut using a file from the Silhouette Design Store and my Silhouette Cameo Electronic Die Cutting Machine.
Here's a closer look at the little scene I've created on this project...
Of course, no fairy garden is complete without flowers!
I've stamped the floral images onto white card stock using black VersaFine ink, and have then colored them with sponge daubers and assorted Memento inks.
Here's how they turned out!
This is the cluster above the cottage...
...and this is the cluster on the opposite side...
A quick brush over the florals with some Dries Clear Art Institute Glue and a quick sprinkle of glitter and a touch of sparkle and magic was brought to the creation!

Locate paper featuring the light blue background with florals and birds within the paper collection as shown on project. Trace wall hanging base to include bird images and flowers as shown and cut using scissors. Adhere to plaque base and allow to dry. Once dry, use a nail file to soften edges of paper around wall hanging. Die cut the cottage using the paper shown on sample from within the paper collection. Trace around cottage die cut using wall hanging base to get the shape necessary to match up to wall hanging. Adhere to plaque as shown. Stamp one door image, one window, one cobblestone path and one fence image onto white card stock using grey ink. Color using ink and daubers, die cut and adhere to cottage using pop dots as shown. Locate the little fairy darling on the preprinted designer paper and die cut using the coordinating die. Adhere to wall hanging as shown using pop dots. Using your electronic die cutting machine, cut out sentiment file from dark blue patterned paper within the paper collection. Adhere to wall hanging as shown. Stamp several inkings of each of the florals from the Wildwood Florals Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using black ink. Color using ink and sponge daubers and die cut using coordinating dies. Shape using flower shaping tools and create floral clusters as shown. Pour a small amount of dries clear glue onto a wipeable work surface or scrap paper and lightly brush a thin layer of glue using a small paint brush onto all florals and then sprinkle with glitter. Apply the same technique to the wings on the little fairy darling.
