Heartfelt Creations Introduces Art Foam Paper and Flower Stamens...

Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening depending on
wherever you are as you're reading this!
I hope life is finding you well!
I'm so glad you've taken a few minutes from your day to pop on over here for a visit!

Today is an exciting day with us at Heartfelt Creations!
We are introducing the new Art Foam Paper and a multitude of beautiful flower stamens!

Now, life has a way of running away on us at times...and I have to admit that right now life has been a little busy....so, my project will not be appearing on the Heartfelt Creations blog as I did not have time to play with the new products before our submission deadline.  However, that did not stop me from spending a few minutes in my room to create a little something for you with these new products!

I decided to create a Christmas card using several of our winter/holiday themed collections!
I paired the Winter's Eve Paper with Festive Holly embellishments...and of course the Sparkling Poinsettia! I opted to use the branch and a few leaves from the Birds and Blooms Collection as well!

Are you wondering how all of these collections came together?
Let's take a peek...

I opted to use a pretty Spellbinders swirl die cut which reminds me of a snowy blizzard or cool breezy winds to set the backdrop for that lovely preprinted church image.  I've color up and shaped the card stock embellishments as usual and then began to play with the Art Foam Paper Poinsettias.

I've stamped the flower images using a Hydrangea Blue StazOn ink and the leaves in a Olive Green StazOn ink....you will need to use a permanent ink on the foam so it does not wipe off or smear.
Die cutting the foam is the same as card stock and it die cut beautifully using my Gemini Die Cutting Machine. Shaping the foam art paper is where all the fun begins!

Now, first of all, let me encourage you to watch this Heartfelt Creations tutorial on how to use your heat tool to shape the foam art paper and insert your flower stamens.

I have a super hot heat tool, so I found that my shaping went quickly and I needed to hold my heat tool directly above the foam flower but further away...not angled from the side... this allowed all the petals to curl at once. I did find that my foam did shrink up quite a bit and the color of my inks did change a bit...as a matter of fact, I do believe that I did burn some of the ink on the foam on the poinsettias as it became more of a brown color instead of remaining green if I left the heat on it too long. I did find that each petal did kind of take on it's own shape and each leaf did shape a tad differently giving each it's own character. Following the same directions as outlined in the video link above, I pierced my flowers and added the stamens.

Here's a closer look at how these foam poinsettias turned out...

Don't those stamen centers look awesome!
I chose the white glitter type because I wanted them to shimmer like they were covered in snow!

I then set about building my flower clusters on opposite corners.
I love how they turned out!

Well, that's all from me today!
I do hope you've enjoyed my little holiday share!
There are so many wonderful projects featuring these new items up on the Heartfelt Creations blog today! I do hope you take the time to take a peek at them and leave some love on the blog for the design team!

Until next time...

To learn how to work with Art Foam Paper and flower stamens, please view this video https://youtu.be/Oma6ctVmUD0

Instructions: Create a 6" x 6" card base using white card stock. Locate preprinted card panel in Winter's Eve Paper Collection, trim down slightly, ink all edges using VersaColor Pine Cone ink. Lightly sprinkle a small amount of Chunky White Embossing Enamel on top of church image and heat set using heat tool from backside of preprinted card panel. Adhere to card base.

Die cut Spellbinders Spirals Die from white card stock using die cutting machine and adhere to card base over preprinted card panel.

Stamp two inkings of the festive holly images - the corner version without cardinal and the smallest holly and berry illustration - onto white card stock using VersaFine Smokey Gray ink. Stamp one inking of the rounded branch and the small cluster of leaves from the Leafy Branch Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using VersaFine Smokey Gray ink. Die cut all stamped images using coordinating dies. For leafy branch, add ColorBox Creamy Brown and ColorBox Dark Brown to image using Stack and Store Daubers. Trim into three sections. For small leaves, add ColorBox Lime Pastel  ink to centers, Memento Peanut Brittle to edges and then ink over all edges using VersaColor Pine Cone Ink. For holly and berry images, add ColorBox Lime Pastel Ink to centers and ColorBox Olive Grove to edges using daubers and ColorBox Lipstick Red to berries using TomBow Dual Brush Marker Blender. Ink all edges of holly and berry images with VersaColor Pine Cone ink. Shape all embellishments using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Stamp one inking of the large poinsettia from the Large Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set and the full image from the Sparkling Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set onto Art Foam Paper using Hydrangea Blue StazOn ink pad. Die cut using coordinating dies. Add Olive Green StazOn ink to centers of all poinsettias and Hydrangea Blue StazOn ink around all edges using ink blending tool.  Stamp two inkings of the poinsettia leaves using Olive Green StazOn ink and die cut using coordinating die. Add ColorBox Lime Pastel ink to portions of leaves and then add Olive Green StazOn ink around edges. Shape poinsettias and leaves using heat tool and instructions in video link listed above. Assemble one large double poinsettia, one mid sized double poinsettia and one smaller poinsettia will remain single. Using piercing tool from flower shaping kit, pierce through each flower and add stamens using directions as outlined in video link above.

Lastly, create flower clusters on corners of card as shown. Trim out sentiment from Winter's Eve Paper Collection, snip end to create banner and ink all edges with VersaColor Pine Cone Ink. Curl slightly and adhere to base of card as shown. Using the dries white adhesive and Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter, add touches of snow to all shaped elements.
